"As a student of Pleasanton Academy of Music for the last six years, I have grown as a student, pianist, and performer in ways that I would have never imagined. When I first joined Pleasanton Academy of Music, my teachers believed in me and provided me the opportunity to reach for higher goals by participating in piano competitions. I still remember the first competition I attended in San Francisco, proudly performed my work and achieved my prize medal. The experience enabled me to reach for higher goals with the continuous support from all dedicated teachers at the academy. My first debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York when I was 9 years old was all possible because of the profound support from my teachers. After joining the Pleasanton Academy of Music, I have had invaluable opportunities to travel in the U.S and around the world to countries in Europe for piano performances. Every time I walk into my lessons, I am excited to work on challenging, yet exciting repertoires, including solo, duet/duo, ensemble, and concerto. My first concerto by Kabalevsky was a success due to detailed lessons from my teachers to help me achieve the techniques required to perform the work with musical expressions. It was absolutely enjoyable to perform the concerto alongside my inspiring teachers accompanying me. Because of this work, I had a unique opportunity to perform with the Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra as a featured piano soloist in the Salute to Youth Concert. I now have full confidence to explore the wonderful world of music through advanced repertoires. All of these opportunities were only possible because of the support from my teachers at Pleasanton Academy of Music, who dedicate their time and effort to ensure that I can perform each piece with correct details, interesting dynamics, and strong techniques. Ultimately, Pleasanton Academy of Music is a place of opportunities for me, where I can try new things and achieve my musical goals with the support of the teachers who always encourage me to reach my highest potential. I am deeply grateful for all experiences I have had at Pleasanton Academy of Music, and I hope that others can share the same experiences."
