"hi. i was a student or should i say a victim. this school made my mental health horrible. the education is not very good. the punishments they give arnt effect at all. not to mention there was a abulence on campus almost everyday. i got used to this for a whole year before i left. this is not good. i did not feel safe one bit. if you or you know a parent wanting to enroll your child in to vista and you have a choice please do not. i cant express enough."
"I went here three almost 4 years ago for 6th grade and it wasn't enjoyable. Please for the love of God parents please make sure your children are okay mentally whenever entering a school or at any point"
"Recently left Vista to go to another middle school in Chico, Ca, and it really changed my perspective on Vista for the worst. For one, while there are some amazing teachers who genuinely love to teach, many are really just doing it for a paycheck and act like it. Many teachers are terrible at teaching, and then blame the students when the class average is an F. The yard duties aren't much better, either. Many are on a power trip their whole shift, acting as if their neon vest makes them better than one else. The culture among the students is also pretty toxic. They value drama and acting trashy over just tolerating each other. If you're being bullied because of this, don't bother going to the counselors. I've had friends talk about their suicide attempts to me, and when I report it to the counselor they are just sent back to class. The area the school is in is also not great, lots of drug addicts and crime, which results in lock-downs often. Overall, this school is a terrible environment for kids."
"ESCAPE WHILE YOU CAN I went to school here and started as a 6th grader in 2014. The time l spent there I was physically attacked by a teacher. The staff in the office treat visitors badly. There are also fights that happen in the neighborhood. This school spent its money on the whole redesign of the campus, adding a cafeteria and, Tech Lab" which was destroyed by the disrespectful and ignorant students that attend this so-called "School." School doesnt pay for teachers supplies or class supplies like pencils, glue, etc. Because of the unecessary rennovation. From my experience as a student that studied here for 3 years, it was the worst 3 years of my entire life. l would give this hell hole a 0 out of 5 if I could. (My side of the experience at Vista and what I've noticed there.)"
"This school is racist. They have not taught my daughter anything since she has been there in 2 years they don't care they are fake she is in special education classes there and they can't even teach her her A. B. C' s they have given her Good grades but of course they are just passing her to get her out of there hair they don't care to them she is just another dumb black and we don't KNOW anything. When i ask my daughter about her school work when she brings it home she looks at it and is lost why did red bluff district put her there."
