"Pros: Most of the staff are very nice, and I appreciate that they offer free air / chain lubing even if you don't buy anything. Cons: The one guy (Asian dude with long hair) is unnecessarily rude and aggressive -- I'm amazed he's still working here. Prices are also very high and they will upsell you."

"tldr: this place *literally* steals your money. They have scammed and lied to me about repair costs three times. It's worth it to make the trip off campus, no matter the hassle. I have been to this bike shop three times in my short time as an undergrad at Stanford. The first time I went, it was to fill a tire with air. My friend and I had been filling our tires ourselves, and he accidentally let a good bit of air out of my tires while trying to navigate the valves on my bike. No big deal, I figured. I went to the bike shop on campus so they could fill it up quickly. It cost me 60$ to fix. I've had this bike for years and have spent many hours working on bikes in my life. My tire did not need replacing. And even then, the replacement should not have cost more than 30$, MAX. Fool me once, right? Unfortunately, I made the mistake of returning to this shop. The second time I went to this bike shop, my bike tire had simply given out and exploded. I needed a new inner tube and tire. I asked about the up front cost, since I'd been blindsided the last time I went. They told me it would cost 60$. Pricey, but I had no other choice. I came back and was charged $120 for this. A hundred and twenty dollars. Finally, the last time I went to the campus bike shop was this week. This will be the last time I ever go. I had a hole in my tire. I asked about the price and its breakdown to make sure that I understood what I'd have to pay. I was told the total cost would be $29: $9 for the inner tube, $20 for the tire. I came back. They made me pay $60 to get my bike back. Not only are the employees straight up lying, AND the price completely laughable, but the quality of their tires is just bad. I've had to get my back tire replaced THREE times in the span of one year. Each replacement has come from this place. I feel extremely stupid for getting a new tire there again this week. I truly hope it holds on longer than the last two I got at this complete ripoff of a business. This campus bike shop clearly has a monopoly on this campus. They're the only place available so they know they can charge whatever they want. They are lying about the costs of repairs. They will charge you DOUBLE what they initially tell you, and you won't have a choice but to pay because the service will have already been given. The word scam gets thrown around a lot, but this place is a legitimate scam. I will not return here again -- I'd rather lug my bike miles to the nearest off-campus bike shop than get scammed again."

"This in an outstanding bike shop. It is a Stanford University institution. Omar, Annie, and the rest of the staff are super knowledgeable, thoughtful, and kind. I ride 5000 miles per year and love biking. I probably have 10 bikes myself. They offer the best service you'll find anywhere. They know everyone and everyone knows them. Soooo good. There is absolutely no reason to go anywhere else for your bike needs."

"Owner sold me a used road bike, said he inspected it for safety, didn’t mention anything about the brakes being completely gone, metal to metal. I went to another place to have it tuned up and the tech said the brakes were completely gone and that it shouldn’t have been sold to me in that unsafe condition. Also when I asked for the price new, he told me $2700, but later when I looked it up, it is actually $1600 or so new. So I felt a bit ripped off. Lastly, I wrote to him a couple times to discuss, and because he offered to help me with it for 90 days. He never responded to my messages. Overall, I am feeling bad about my experience here."
