"Went in for a head injury. The dr on call couldn’t get me out faster. Kept popping his gum, told me I had a hairline fracture in my neck… but gave me zero medication to control the pain until I could make it home (3 states away). Would not recommend."
"Picked up the 86 year old mother-in-law and then drove to Sparta, about 1 hour travel time total. Her appointment was confirmed 2-3 days prior. At the reception desk we were told it had been canceled. When we asked why we weren't informed, we were told a message was left on her voice mail. She DOES NOT have voice mail or an answering machine. Very unprofessional. Two hours of driving for nothing."
"I've had more than one terrible experience here. My bill for a Lyme Disease test was over $3,000. The visit was under 30 minutes, and the test results came in over a week after they had estimated. The visit before this one, my back went out, and instead of doing x-rays or any sort of physical analysis, they gave me Tylenol and Ibuprofen. This visit was no more than 20 minutes, but they charged about $600. This place is a prime example of what can happen when we let hospitals continue as for-profit businesses. Hospitals should not be run like businesses!"
"I have had dealings with the hospital here and the physicians in Sparta. The care has been just great. No problems or unnecessary treatment. My daughter was visiting and had a major problem, the emergency treatment was great and she was admitted. A surgeon was brought in to fix her up and the care was just great. I have had to go there a couple of times under an emergency situation and again all were just great. Our regular doctor has been extremely good and has taken care of us without any problems. Maybe others have had bad experiences but we sure haven't. Keep up the good work."
