"This review is directed towards the special Ed all day classes at grand oaks: I read reviews else where that were nothing but bad reviews and I agree 100% how bad it truly is. I can't review any of the other general Ed classes however because my daughter was never in those however the special day classes are horrific! They have 2 special day classes there and Without giving out names I will just say this; the teachers are more interested in their own personal lives and their own issues than teaching the children anything worthwhile or taking the time to work with each child with special needs on an individual basis. They treat kids like they're in the military and speak too them The same way.. And Art.. Forget about it; what's art? My daughter NEVER brought home any art work and I found out later that's because they never were allowed to do it! It was some kind of earned privilege which is complete nonsense as art should be implemented everywhere. The children were constantly reprimanded than ever given positive affirmations.. And forget any kind of support from their awful principle Mrs. Cezar.. She was always yelling at kids and never acted like she had the time to speak to parents about any issues, always rude and unsupportive! The only redeeming quality about this school was the front staff was friendly, especially Mrs. Elaine and one particular teachers assist. MS. ALLI whom the kids just adored! I'm just thankful my daughter is away from this awful school and in a better one with an awesome supportive teacher that includes ART in everything!! Love her teacher and her new school! And if you don't believe this review; go ask some other parents that have kids in these special day classes and you will see I'm not the only one that feels this way! Horrible school! Horrible teachers! Glad to leave grand oaks behind forever. Please someone in charge fix this school before kids there suffer worse than they already have!"
