"I am reviewing as a substitute teacher. The school has someone who deals mostly with the sub teachers. Any question or concern can be addressed to this person and then she handles it or tells you how to handle it. She is there well before school starting time, so that you can pick up the keys, roster and lesson plans etc.. So you can start your day on time. I have subbed at other schools(in this district and others) where this does not occur. And as result the kids are left waiting until you the sub gets there. So for any substitute teachers out there, Central High East Campus is a good place to substitute, especially new subs."

"I'm not here to leave a review on the school, but I would like to leave a review for the central girls valleyball team. As of right now I'm here supporting the team. Volleyball is for the team to enjoy and have fun, but all I see is the coach favoring the girls he likes only. The same girls has play all 3 games and as for the other players they been bench the whole entire time. Tell me wouldn't you like to see your child play and enjoy their time? I'm not too happy seeing this happen. They put their time and effort into a sport they love and at the end they get bench."

"Wouldn't go to this school if I were you, I spent my Senior year here and it was horrible, I've seen so many fights break out that you couldn't even count them all, if you could then you'd be surprised by how many fights broke out. The teachers here don't care about their jobs, there are only a handful of good teachers but that's about it, its not a joke, there aren't that good teachers here and if you were to find a really good teacher, then good luck. This school isn't worth going to, trust me there are Police Officers everywhere and in this school there has to be a Police on site due to the many fights that break out and violence that occurs. The Police in this High School need to be there for so many reasons as if it was a Prison and you're trapped inside. The School does a horrible job at controlling the kids here, people write reviews about this school saying its "Fun" or "this is a good High School to go to" if you were to see this High School for yourself you wouldn't want to stay there for another day, you'd leave day one. Students that write reviews about this school just lie to other students that want to go here for a good experience, it isn't a fun experience at all. The 5 Star reviews are fake, learn to hear everything about this High School that's bad, you'll change your mind really quickly. I definitely wouldn't let my Kids go here if I were a Parent, I'd send them off to a different High School, one that's much better at running a High School like its supposed to be run."

"Was at Central for the 2013 Junior Olympics Swim Meet. We had a wonderful time. The pool facilities were very nice. The school looked well kept and clean."

"My two middle children attended here. (Our oldest attended Clovis schools, our youngest went out of district to GATE schools in FUSD). Very poor academics, in general, very poor preparation for college. There are just a small handful of really good teachers. Central Unified as a whole fails to focus their students on the future. There is very little to NO preparation for college. There are ABSOLUTELY NO classes, workshops, seminars for parents/students to educate them on CSU or UC requirements. Most parents dont find out their children are INELIGIBLE for UC or CSU until their senior years when they find out from the colleges themselves. If a student wants information from their counselor about College entrance requirements, it is like pulling teeth, whether you are a valedictorian-level student or a C-average student... The counselors acknowledge they are 'just too busy' to meet with all the students to help them figure out their 4-year high school plan that would lead them to college... Very disappointed. That's why my two youngest are at the Fresno Unif GATE schools. I'm very happy with those schools."
