SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Janesville

"It was a pleasant stay starting with emergency room and ending with my last day. My only complaint was having to wait for my pain medicine. I didn't get my medicine like I did at home even though my medication profile is there as I am a SSM health patient."

"If at all possible, avoid SSM Health. All 3 times I visited they were absolutely terrible to me. My last visit was exceptionally poor. I had to rearrange my schedule to make an appointment, just trying to get a primary care provider. I leave work early and show up to the clinic, only to find out that my appointment had been cancelled without my knowledge. They claimed that I was sent a letter, but I never received one. They also "called twice" but didn't bother to leave a voice message. If you want mediocre care for the same exorbitant rate that every other clinic charges, SSM is the place for you. If you want clinic staff to completely disregard your needs, SSM is the place for you. If you want to be treated like your time and hard earned money is worth absolutely nothing, SSM is the place for you. I would rather drop dead than receive "care" from SSM. They shouldn't be allowed to operate with such negligence and complete disregard for the patient experience. Update: Thanks for your disingenuous, cookie cutter reply... NOT! For anyone who's curious, SSM did nothing to rectify any of the issues mentioned above. Not a phone call, email, nothing. They're money grabbers and that's all there is to it."

"Doctors are okay WHEN you can get into them. Wait months for a biopsy (Yes! Months!) even though I'm in a high risk program. Billing is awful! Maybe it's because we have SSM/Dean insurance, but every bill has a coding error or isn't paid at the % we are expecting because they disagree with their own doctor's treatment, which leaves you no option but paying it. Just got charged months of rental for a CPAP so they could monitor usage. I was compliant, so guess what my reward was--being billed for the whole machine with no credit for the hundreds of dollars it cost to rent it. It would have been cheaper to buy it without insurance, but too late now, you must pay. And SSM Health At Home is a joke. Only open a few select hours. Finally went out of network. It was a fortune, and we'll be making payments for a long time, but got a biopsy in under a week and CPAP supplies in days."

"Absolutely stellar, top notch care! I’ve been at St. Mary’s as inpatient, outpatient and ER/Urgent Care…yes, I’m why we can’t have nice things. Aside from the actual medical care, which has been fantastic in all aspects, the personal care in regards to amazing bedside care from dining and hospitality through CNA’s, Nursing and Physicians. I will continue to make St. Mary’s my go to facility whenever I make poor life choices or find myself ill."

"Find a better place to go. SSM health Janesville doesn’t really care for its patients, it takes over a month just to make or get an appointment. Secondly they will hold your prescription over your head, even if it’s a necessity for your wellbeing, they simply don’t care about their patients, you’re nothing more than money to them. They will even add to your bill. Making you take a drug test, to prove you’re not drug addicted. So you’re guilty before proven innocent. It sickens me, their total disregard for their patients."
