"Just got my Covid vaccine there. The nurse giving the shot does not seem to know what she's doing. She hit a nerve and penetrated deep into my muscle, causing numbness and severe pain in my arm. She also said it would bee too "hard" to give both the Covid and flu vaccines into the same arm."

"TL;DR The pharmacy's staff have always been kind and helpful, but the experience is often hindered by the company's systems and processes. I've been a customer of this pharmacy for years, and talked to multiple pharmacists and their techs through that time. Since I grocery shop here and their pharmacy has decent pricing, I use their pharmacy for Rx orders, but they have long overdue improvements to implement. First, their pharmacy computers and POS computers need to get linked properly. My understanding is that their corporate contacts have told them, many times, that an update will be pushed to link the two, but it never happens. Updates come down and it just changes around their screen, so they don't know where functions exist, anymore, and have to learn all their locations again. This slows down the fulfillment process, which leads to the second facet. Lines. They've become better staffed than in previous years, and staff is expensive, but they need staff specialized in fulfilling specific tasks, such as filling and readying orders on their computers. These techs can remain on their specific tasks and not be allowed to get sidelined by customers with 21 questions and no urgency to let the staff carry on. If customers have questions about their Fuel Saver + Perks, like I've repeatedly seen, pass them to nearby Customer Service. Their staff are trained and specialize in that subject. They can quickly look up Fuel Saver + Perks balances and answer questions. Extended pharm Q&A just adds to the Rx fulfillment queue. Also, do yourself a favor and put a few queue markers on the ground to show people where to line up. There are 3 options where customers can queue, so it becomes confusing when 4 people are in line, but 2 are invisibly waiting in the product aisle. That's a fine place to queue people, but ground markers at the corner of the aisle need to indicate the queue's starting point. Moving on to robocalls that Rx orders are ready: The caller ID for these calls is constantly shifting, so it often appears as "Unknown" or "Restricted" caller, when it should simply appear as the pharmacy's main *5122 number. Frequency of these calls has also been unreliable, in the past. Make sure each order receives exactly one phone call only when the ORDER is fulfilled (not each time an individual Rx is fulfilled). Ex: my order of 3 prescription refills doesn't need 3 separate phone calls. Just one call, when the order is fulfilled, is all that is necessary. Lastly: pricing errors. I've had both insurance and GoodRx billed. Train staff on checking the previous month's refill, to make sure their current refill mirrors its previous billing net total. If comparing the two months' medications, by name, doesn't have a matching $ amount, it should prompt the tech to check the reason. This issue is especially prevalent with Schedule 1 meds as Hy-Vee's order processing resets billing methods when it needs to change the Rx number. Logic in the system should also read a keyword match, so it prompts the tech to use the same billing as the previous month. Stacking insurance with a manufacturer's savings coupon also complicates final billing, so simply prompting a tech to match the previous month's billing method can save a ton of time filling orders. These improvements will greatly enhance this pharmacy's productivity and customer experience. I hope that my fellow customers and I start to see their implementation. Keep hiring quality people. That's always been this pharmacy's strong suit."

"It was a little bumpy when I first started here, but that has been all straightened out now. The main issue is that they don’t always have everything in stock so they have to order it in. Since I started ordering my refills the day before picking them up, I haven’t had any issues."

"Called hy-vee and said we need this right away could you do that? They yes we will get it ready now, I said great will be there in 15 to 20. Get there and they said it would be 15 to 20 minutes. I let them know I was not happy. A few minutes later they said sorry it will be tomorrow.  I said Marcia needs it now as she is scratching and itching something terrible. They said they are doing vaccine shots and just can't do it! . We went next door to CVS and they filled the Triamcinolone right away. Last time I'll do business with Hy-Vee Pharmac!y By the way, same thing happened on Monday, they couldnt fill our 5 tabs of Prednisone until Tuesday."
