"I took my old ski boot to replace a busted buckle. I went here since the online places did not have a replacement buckle for my boot. I saw Bob at the front desk and told him that I wanted to find a replacement buckle for my boot. He said "Let me take a look ..." and went inside the workshop area with my boot. I thought he was going to come back with a few buckles and ask me to pick or just say he did not find a good fit or something like that. Nope ... Instead 20 mins later, Bob pops out with my ski boot and a smile saying all done. Here is your boot then says ... "*USED* replacement buckle" costs $25 My time costs ~$50 so total was approximately $75. I was shocked and balked at the $75 price tag. Bob saw this and said I'll cut you a deal and said total is $55. I was annoyed and a bit irritated so I paid and left the store. As I walk out I notice the liner (the cushiony part in the boot) is *MISSING* ... so walk back and tell Bob. Bob cracks a poor joke like "Oh I'm glad you did not find out at the top of the mountain ..." and then goes in to get the liner and puts it back in. Maybe Bob is a nice guy who means well .... but the whole experience left me feeling a bit railroaded. I would have much preferred the folllwing: * Bob comes back and says $25 for the _USED_ buckle, and shows me the buckle. * Lets me know what he is going to charge for fitting it * Proceeds to do the job _IF_ I agreed. My experience left me feeling I overpaid, and I did NOT agree to get the job done at this price ... W.T.F.! This place forces their business on you, poor service, poor communication. Beware!!"

"Great staff and had immediate service. Staff were very experienced and fixed my boot ferment in less than 45min. Needed both boots punched out on left and right sides. Would recommend to all my friends for backcountry touring boot modifications"

"GAME CHANGER!! I never understood how people could stand to ski all day and several days or weeks at a time until I got my custom boot fitting from California Ski Company. I’ve never had a ski boot feel (dare I say) comfortable as I have thick calves and wide feet. Now I can ski all day and there’s no pain! The fitting was pretty pleasant and took 1.5-2 hours. They created insoles for feet and measured my calves so they could adjust and fit the boot to my legs. I forget the gentleman’s name who helped me, but he was very nice and we had nice conversations about our favorite ski resorts and our love of big eye tuna. All in all, a great experience and an absolute game changer on the slopes. Highly recommend!"
