"I reserved a block of 16 rooms on 3/21/23 at this hotel for 4/5/24-4/7/24 for an event taking place in Chippewa Falls. I received a confirmation number and confirmation email for the booking. When I called the hotel on 2/12/24 to confirm the reservation and provide additional details for who would be occupying the rooms, the staff stated they saw the block of 16 rooms for my event but that they were all sold out. I requested to speak with the manager and I was told to call back on 2/14. I called back as requested only was told to call back later that day after 3pm. I did this and was told to call back tomorrow. The same thing happened Thursday and Friday. I left messages with several staff requesting to speak with the manager and the manager never called me back. I sent several emails to the business email on file with my reservation confirmation but no response. Then Friday night I got a call (not the manager) at 945pm telling me that they were unable to find my reservation and that I would need to find somewhere else to stay. I tried calling back but they would not answer the phone. What I think happened is they do have my block of rooms but they allowed complete strangers to book rooms in my block held with my credit card number and they’d rather upset one customer than own up to their mistake and have to upset 16 more people. Be prepared for frustration, terrible customer service, and zero trust that your reservation will be honored when dealing with this hotel."

"We have the heat turned off but it likes to turn on whenever it wants. We have a room with no outside access which is fine with us. Quiet but it is a weekday. Pool doors were locked with no sign indicating if open or not. Didn't bother with asking. Bar is closed. Says free breakfast so don't expect continental as they do not have a food license. For the price u can't complain, I've stayed in WAY worse!!"

"The carpet was extremely dirty! You could see where previous guests had spilled but it was never cleaned up. The filter was out of the A/C and laying on top of it. The filter was thick full of dust! I cleaned it and put it into the a/C unit. The bathroom fan did not work so I didn't dare take a shower as the a/C was also having a hard time keeping the room cool. It wasn't taking the humidity out of the room as it is. Dirty rooms dirty halls plus they charge extra for pets. Considering they don't clean the rooms pets should stay free!"

"I liked the room. It had a pleasant, homey vibe. However, the pool was closed, and it said nothing about that on the website. I booked directly through the America's Best Value website, and one of the reasons I booked the hotel was because there was a pool. I asked when it would be fixed, and the staff didn't know. When I arrived, I was told how to get to my room inside. I had to take a walk down the long, winding hallway with all of my luggage, and when I finally made it to the room, the keys did not work. I went back to the desk to get new keys. They worked for the inside door. I later tried to get into the room from the outside door. At first, the keys worked. Then, they didn't. I wasn't told that I couldn't get in from the outside door until I went back to the front desk to let the staff know. Apparently, the battery didn't work for the outside door. It was faulty. I asked if I could get a room with an outside door that worked but was told that I would be in a totally different hallway. It wasn't worth moving all of the luggage, and I suspected that none of the outside doors worked. I only found out that the pool was closed when I tried to get inside the pool area, but the doors were locked. There was no sign that said the pool was out of order. I had to check with the front desk. Overall, it was okay, though. The room was clean, and I liked the vibe of the room."
