"This hospital used to be the one I trusted the most, until recently. I felt neglected, uncared for, and crazy when explaining my extremely conceding symptoms. The nurse practitioner failed to even try to figure out what was wrong. Never sat down in the room or physically looked at my injury. She told me to come back when I was nearly passing out. I admitted myself to hudson hospital, where they found a life altering situation. Thank goodness hudson hospital caught it, because westernwisconsin health failed to even care. I won’t be back, ever."

"My wife and I delivered our first son at this hospital almost 2 years ago and had a fantastic experience. We worked with Dr. Hartung, and the birth center staff and they worked wonderfully as a team together. I always felt that at every stage of the birth process, Dr. Hartung gave a very even-handed treatment to, the risks and concerns that were involved during every stage of Delivery, and also gave us the sense that it was in our power to choose whatever we wanted to do. Ultimately, after being in labor for five days, we decided to deliver through C-section, and it turned out perfectly. I remember after the birth they gave us a card in the mail congratulating us for being the first child born in the year of 2022 at the hospital. It was a very nice personal touch. Now fast forward two years, I am making an appointment With a new family practice doctor and I just got off the phone after taking almost an hour to discuss with a wonderful person named Laura. Laura made me feel that she had all the time in the world and answered all of my questions very thoroughly. She was very kind and patient, and respectful. Looking through the reviews of this hospital, there seems to be a lot of five star and a lot of one star, but in my experience, it’s five star all the way. I hope that Laura gets a raise for being an exceptional employee. I hope that all of the new coming doctors, don’t take any offense when I say listen to the wisdom of your elders, such as Dr. hartung. As a healthcare, professional myself specializing in injury and chronic pain, rehabilitation as a Massage Therapist for 17 years, I understand what it means to face the pressures of the healthcare system. It’s very difficult to maintain a high-level of integrity over a long period of time And maintain a standard of excellence at every age and stage of our life. I think that this challenge is even more highlighted for our healthcare professionals are paid very highly, how does a person put patients first before profits? How does a person listen to their conscience, and make the best decisions for the patients? I think that when I walk through the facility door of Western Wisconsin, Health, I get a feeling deep down in my bones that they’re trying to do the right thing. From the way that Dr. Hartung treated us during our pregnancy, to the patience that Laura demonstrated talking with me on the phone, to even the cafeteria which has sprouted grain, cultured, organic bread, everything speaks to integrity. I learned that one of the hospital staff members brings in coffee from ember and Bean, that’s very nice, I see they also have a workout facility with a swimming pool. That’s very nice. I definitely get the feeling that they are interested in health. The thing that I love most about this hospital is its willingness to care for people who are of a low-income status like the Amish, I think that Western Wisconsin health is a beacon of Hope and integrity. I would like to also say that, our life on earth is short-lived, but modern evidence from near-death experiences strongly supports the notion that the soul lives on after the body, for more on this topic, see the movie “After Death “ a very excellent film that came out in theaters recently. Like I was saying, life is short-lived, and after this earth, we have an eternity to spend with the one that sustains our souls. It takes tremendous courage and faith to live our lives with that goal in mind. When we choose to do the right thing, rather than the easy thing, when we choose to be patient rather than to rush through things, when we choose to be generous, rather than selfish, and when we seek to place the needs of others above ourselves, that’s what the Bible calls “storing your riches in heaven.” I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the greatest healer that ever lived, and who lives still, that western Wisconsin health continue to flourish as a rock of integrity in Wisconsin. Amen."

"Dr.Hartung is an extremely respectful and professional doctor. I would 100% recommend him as a provider. Along with Dr.Hartung, WWH surgery/ER staff is also incredible and went above and beyond with their care."

"Revision: Had a meeting with them and they denied everything-one person even shot back "we're not doing anything illegal here"-strong reaction to my simple question. They said they would look into the charges I never received and never heard back. I will be looking for all new providers-I refuse to give any more of my business to a clinic who is all about the money and not their patients. I'm really only staying with one specialist though because others aren't anything to rave about but if you're looking for generalized care, it's fine I guess but still not recommended. You will always need to strongly advocate for yourself and basically say what you want to happen/plan for your needs so be prepared to do your own research. Another example: I was in the ER a couple months ago (twice because they problem wasn't solved the first time) and the experience was extremely traumatic. One of the doctors who treated me (not my primary on the situation) said "in my experience, it's better just to do it (traumatic procedure)".. that's not the way to show you care and clearly is in only it for the money. The billing department is the worst I've ever encountered. First off, they bill things several months later (in my situation, 3 months). When I asked about it, they said they are waiting for the doctors to code things...again, several months later. They also said they are waiting for insurance to process claims...it doesn't take months for that to happen-I work in insurance, it has never taken that long to process claims if the doctors actually bill. Their statements are very confusing (admitted so by billing staff) and my payment plan not reflected. Will be seeking primary care elsewhere. Only reason for not 1 star is I really like the one specialty provider I see."

"Highly recommend WWH. I switched my prenatal care at 36 weeks due do bad experiences at another clinic and it was the best choice I made. I had a wonderful birth experience and love each team member who worked with me and my son. My son now sees his pediatrician there and I have switched my primary care to WWH. We are very happy with the family/person centered care we receive."
