Pine Village Apartments

"Would not recommend living here. The area is filled with homeless & the apartments gates are always left open or broken, therefore you will always see homeless & drug users roaming around & digging in the trash. The trash area is usually horrible due to this. The apartments are pricey & labeled as luxury but there is no adequate security. Many residents got their rent stolen & nothing was done about it unfortunately. Overall it is a nightmare with the homeless issue!!!"

"If I could leave zero stars I would !! If you plan on moving here steer clear and take this as advice, been living here for a year now gate is always broken water is alway being shut off, that’s not the least of the problems recently myself as well as 7 other tenants had their checks from the rent stolen from the managers drop box and we are being left with the financial responsibility to fix it, manager offered no help or warranty regarding the matter and left the tenants to deal with the problem no cameras next to drop box so tenants living in pine village beware of leaving your rent checks in the drop box. Wouldn’t recommend these apartments to anyone horrible management"

"We were quoted a price to rent at $2,450.00, then one agent made a mistake, and they were forced to raise the rent the SAME DAY as our move-in day (unable to back as we have movers already there and not enough time to find a different unit) - we asked for a credit due to the apartment not meeting habitability conditions and said we intended to file a complaint with FEHA - and then they proceeded to issue lease violations - for things in my review - were not violations; so much that they were unable to point to where in the lease agreement the conduct my family was doing was prohibited. For example, we installed a window AC (only because the AC in the unit does not work). They called this a violation even though the apartment was over 84 degrees, and they couldn't perform the repair until later in the week. They then cited us for having a shoe rack in our doorway - and called this "unsightly" and a violation (which again, I think is too vague and arbitrary even to enforce). The apartments were upgraded very poorly, the day of the move-in, we discovered then discovered mold in the apartment under the Kitchen sink. The bathroom sinks leaked profusely. The Washer and Dryer provided did not function. The Central AC was broken. The patio sliding door was broken. The vanity in the second bedroom sealant was coming off. There were no keys for the second bedroom lock. The spa/jacuzzi was out of order, the sliding doors in the bedrooms were inoperable, the kitchen drawers did not open properly, and the apartment had roaches."

"*I've amended my review from a 2-star to a 1-star review. My car, parked on Pine Street, was broken into with the window smashed on the night of July 27th. The resident that notified me of the smashed window told me that one of her friends had their car recently broken into while parked in the gated lot. This complex is in an inherently unsafe neighborhood.* This apartment complex has significant issues with water delivery. In the past year I've lived here I've had my water fully turned off, or had just the hot water turned off, multiple times. The complex was sold in the past year. While the prior owners would notify us if, and how long, the water would be out for, the current owners do not, even if the water is out for 12+ hours. This alone is unacceptable. As well, homeless people often walk Pine Street, but this complex has no security cameras. A visiting friend's car had thousands of dollars' worth of parts stolen while parked on Pine Street, and the person I live with had their car broken into while parked in the gated lot. Finally, the dumpster area is typically overflowing with trash. I like two things about this complex: the in-unit washer/dryer, and that it is walking distance to a couple restaurants."

"These apartments have really gone down hill in the last few months since pine village bought them out. Dumpster area is always a complete mess. The pool is absolutely disgusting, algae covers the bottom of the pool along with trash left by residents. Neighbors have no respect for each other. Had a terrible experience with the first property manager that pine village brought in. Pest control has also become a huge issue recently. And there's always homeless people walking through the apartment community. Highly recommend not living here."
