"Took my son to see Dr. Truong for chronic cough. Performed 2 tests without full disclosure of costs. Yes, shame on me for not asking. Our insurance was billed over $4K and we received a whopping $1500 out of pocket bill. We were charged for a “hospital visit” for an office visit and questioned Stanford billing in December 2018. A follow up call was made in January 2019 with no actions taken since the December call. It is now end of April and received the bill again with the same amount. I found this to be deceiving and predatory. Maybe, it looked like we could afford $4K in testing without a discussion. Dr. Truong got to use a fun camera on my son’s sinuses and seemed to enjoy it. What I thought was a helpful visit sent us into debt with no diagnosis. Please be upfront with your patients in their time of need."
