Best Western Plus Hudson I-94

"We stayed here for our kids state hockey tournament. There were two teams staying at the facility. The front desk staff was rude to our group including yelling so loudly at one parent that I could hear him from inside of our hotel room with the door closed. We had asked about using a conference room and were told that we would be able to, instead they allowed a different group to use it and basically told us to share the space. When I completed a survey about the hotel, I got a nasty email from the General Manager (without their name) stating that our group was too loud and our kids were too loud and unsupervised and they had pictures and videos of it. However, they confused us with the other group, because the times and places they referenced were another team as ours was at the ice rink for our game. Rather than work to solve any problems, they simply got hostile and blamed our group rather than taking any responsibility. The GM also stated that everyone shares private meeting spaces at hotels, which I have never seen in my business or personal travel. I would not recommend this hotel if coming for any sporting events or with groups. They told us that our equipment was not allowed in the building and actually made a parent take items back to their vehicle rather than having them in the room that they had reserved. This is the only hotel we have been at where we have a had a problem, with taking equipment into our room, but it fit with the feeling that we were a burden to them."

"Not recommended at all. We had a dangerous & scary encounter with a white male employee running the front desk. We had checked in over 20 rooms for a youth hockey tournament 2 days ago. Upon checkin he immediately let us know our group was not welcome in the hotel, and we were not allowed to use the conference room that came with our reservation. He told us our hockey gear is not allowed in the hotel, and tried to start multiple fights with my husband and other guests in our large group and other guests who were not in our group. He then began patrolling the halls and made everyone feel uncomfortable. Multiple guests have complained to the other staff. We notified the General Manager who did not seem concerned. We will let the Hockey Tournament know to remove this hotel from the list of approved facilities. This is not a safe place for women, children, families, or elderly people - or any one else for that matter."

"We were so pleased to find this hotel, since we visit the area periodically to spend time with grandchildren… it is our new favorite place to stay! The room was immaculate, pool was warm, staff was friendly and breakfast was tasty. We appreciated April’s tip regarding the Ballon Festival that was happening over the weekend. Look forward to returning!"

"Fantastic service, gentleman at the desk evening of 1/17/24 was perfectly accommodating to our special needs. This type of service is exactly what keeps us loyal Diamond members of Best Western! The fabulous hot breakfast in the morning before we raced off for our business day was the cherry on top. 5 Stars all the way."

"This place was really nice. Beds were comfortable, shower was clean, it was quiet. Breakfast was good. Pool was nice. What more could you ask for? The only real issue was during breakfast one day, they ran out of bacon. Several customers asked as it was on the menu. The lady was rude and said you should’ve gotten up earlier. It was a busy weekend where they serve breakfast until 10 and it was only 7:30 in the morning. Instead of telling paying customers to wake up earlier, maybe considering buying more in the future to accommodate everyone."
