Meridian Apartments

"UPDATE 2023: Don't move in here. The rent might seem cheap, but the quality is too. This place is a dump. Roaches roam freely in the parking lot, mailboxes get broken into, homeless people wander around, animal feces all over the grounds...the buildings, pool area, are not up to code, and the entire complex is not at all ADA compliant (no ramps/wheelchair access, or handicapped parking). Worst of all is there are two entrances, both exit to Meridian Ave by the freeway, so cars are speeding by at all times. I have personally heard and witnessed several crashes involving people coming or going from the apartments, and have had guests complain about very close calls. Street parking is always occupied (even the red zone) so these driveways are often blind to traffic. Speaking of parking, good luck if you get home after 3pm. You are assigned one spot and there are very few "free" spots remaining by the afternoon. Often you see people park against the wall or wherever their car will fit that's not an actual parking spot. The last year I was there, the management office was evasive and disinterested in enforcing their own community guidelines. I'm pretty sure this place is built on a burial ground of some sort with all the problems it has. Stay far, far away, there are better neighborhoods in San Jose. Also, my original 5-star review was colored by the fact that a kind maintenance worker asked me to post a good review to help him out after he took care of some problems for me. Since then the maintenance has gotten very...Mickey Mousey about repairs."

"All the managers, Ali, Gabriela, Rebecca and Jenney are all great! I really appreciate them and the work they do. It's been very nice living here. Even the maintenance are very friendly and do a good job. This place is very family oriented."

"I had scheduled a viewing with Vanecia, one of the leasing agents there, and she was super helpful in providing my housemate and I all the details we needed to complete our application! We had scheduled the appointment relatively last minute and did minimal preparation for the viewing, but she was able to book us quickly and we were able to see the beautiful units and have more information on the unit than we would have thought to ask on the spot. She was helpful to also note small details about the neighborhood we forgot to ask about like noise level and availability of laundry machines. She was able to go through the process with us and how likely our application would be approved as well. Communication with her was swift and smooth!! Although things did not work out in the end, I was pleased to have Vanecia’s help in this stressful process. It made the housing search a lot more manageable."

"Awesome service from Israel. Had a slow leak in my sink that over time created a huge mess. Israel fixed it and even more so, replaced the whole disposal unit. Blessed to be living in a beautiful place with such great maintenance service."

"Been living here for almost 2 years now, and with anyplace there are pros and cons, but the new management & maintenance staff that have been here for the past year have definitely changed professionalism and quality of work for the better. Given these are older apartment buildings its expected to have some maintenance requirements. Ever since day one of the staff change, if we ever needed any issues fixed, the management team would get right on it and the maintenance worker, Israel, has always done a fast and quality repairs/fixes. He the best maintenance worker I have came across, not only in the quality of his work, but the professionalism and friendliness ."
