"We spent nearly four years at Shoreline Village Apartments, residing in a second-floor one-bedroom unit. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience. Our neighbors were notably quiet and friendly, especially during the covid pandemic period when my wife was teaching piano at home. The property managers were very nice and respectful, efficiently handling various aspects like leases and moves. When we decided to move, they provided a supportive reference letter for our new place, which was appreciated. The maintenance team was responsive and usually attended to matters on the day of the request. The location is highly convenient, with downtown Mountain View, including the fantastic Sunday farmers market, just a short walk away."

"We lived in a 3rd floor 2 bedroom apartment here for 3 years. The unit was peaceful and spacious for two people. The maintenance was handled very efficient and managers are professional and caring. Location is so convenient to everything. My neighbors are courteous and have been long time residents."

"Property managers do not follow the law and lie regularly. Moved in here because it was close to work and they offered a month to month lease that was reasonable and I was on contract to start. But ugh what a mistake. When I decided to switch from a month to month lease to a regular one year I asked to move into one of the updated units on the property. The manager continuously lied to me about apartment availability and rates (while simultaneously advertising on craigslist and apt websites...). For example, I was quoted a rate $200 more for the annual lease than originally quoted for a month to month lease and also more than they were advertising online (not as a special rate by the way). I was also told no updated units were available and I would have to stay in my old updated unit (for more money). I even emailed from another email address inquiring about an updated unit advertised online, was told it was available and to schedule a tour, and then when I immediately emailed from my normal email to ask to lease that unit was told it was already taken. I lived in the complex for less than a year, the carpet was disgusting when I moved in. I found out after moving in that six college boys had lived in the one bedroom apartment before me hence the carpet condition. The unit had appliances that were from the 80s and barely functioned, old nasty tile counters, drab tan paint, and nasty carpets as I mentioned. No AC or fans in the entire unit. When I moved out the manager half my deposit to pay for "painting and cleaning". There was zero damage to the paint bc I didn’t touch anything or hang anything, and I left the unit spotless because I wanted me deposit back! They even tried to claim they needed to repaint the interior of a cabinet I literally never used. Painting and cleaning are considered normal wear and tear under CA law by the way and is illegal to charge for. When I challenged the manager on this after moving out she told me I was harassing her. Save yourself the trouble."

"I was a resident at shoreline village. It was truly a great first apartment complex and you pay for what you get. It’s very close to mountain view downtown, which is a big plus, since you have Caltrain and VTA light rail. The staff were great too."

"This is what was deducted from your deposit Utility Bill which was not paid $140.14 Very light painting $70.00 Carpet steam cleaned $95.00 Cleaning $120.00 As far as wear and tear please read your lease agreement, yes it is an older building no plans of reconstructing the building to 3 prong outlets. Rents vary if you are on a month to month rental agreement or a lease. Thank you for residing at our property"
