"Scheduled an appointment for my child SPECIFICALLY requesting a play therapist, specifying therapists by name my MFT sister and I researched fitting our needs. I was informed the therapists are only via telehealth and I agreed after informing the intake receptionist I ONLY wanted a therapist in my area, in my ‘neighborhood’ as I wanted in person as soon as it was available. The intake receptionist then scheduled me to see a Hilda Medina. Three weeks later, our appointment was this morning and I never received a phone call ‘reminding’ me of an appointment, the zoom link which should have been emailed to me 2 hours ahead was not sent to me until 45 min prior to appointment. I called first thing this morning and find out the therapist they scheduled is located in Newark, OVER 335 MILES AWAY!!! Why, WHY would a child who’s parent SPECIFIED a play therapist and in person therapy (as soon as available) be scheduled to see someone 335 mi away! I’ve wasted the day, I’m losing pay, my child lost a day of learning all because the intake receptionist couldn’t adhere to patients needs. Do NOT waste your time, money, energy here when clearly they do not care about patients needs"
