"Well, they didn't have the part we went for which was an adapter for a gas stove, but the 2 men, that worked in the hardware department were very friendly and helpful. The man that does keys was very friendly & helpful. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE MANAGER.... when we went to check out, was really rather rude, she seemed to really not care to help us. My rewards didn't work & she wasn't even attempting to look into the issue to help the cashier fix the problem. So I wasn't even able to get the extra $5 off for downloading the app. She said it wasn't going to work due to my coupon. But at the same time really didn't look at exactly why the issue happened."

"Was purchasing some bug and fungicide for my lawn, and chose one for $9.99 along with some lawn bags. Checked out and saw it rung up for $21.99 after I got my receipt, and told the cashier who called for another associate. That associate confirmed it happens a lot and did see the label was wrong, then took it out and explained to me how it's for a different product and the difference in what those products do like I was ignorant for not knowing. I told him I just saw the price and grabbed the product, and asked if they would honor the price since the label was there. He got defensive and said no they can't do that, so I asked for a refund. We walked up, and he grabbed the item and said wait a minute, then came back and said it was their fault, and when I asked if that meant they would honor the price then he said they'll just do the refund complaining that the price was lower than their cost. Well they just lost a customer, and I just gave them a 5 star review 2 months ago and have been trying to support my local business even though they are more expensive. I had been using Ace as my go to for all my yard care tools and items, but Menards has my business now."

"Great hardware store. They really cleaned the place up from the old True Value owner. The staff is new as well and younger and more motivated to help. Had a great guy take 5 minutes to help me find the exact bolt and washer I needed. He really provided excellent service on a Tuesday night. In the past when it was under old owner good luck getting help. The whole place is clean, transformed and not grumpy. My first choice for hardware now!! Saw a patron gave a negative review for services not offered and a little mixup on what was said over the phone. Know that the staff is young and learning a new store and if people patronize the store as good customers the owners will be able to expand the services and products they offer. In essence this is a rebooted store building from ground up. Way better than it was."
