"Dr. "Jimmy", as he calls himself, came to my home to put my pig down because of arthritis. The morning of I called to ask if I could please pick up some kind of medication that would have my beloved pig really really relaxed so that the last few minutes of his life wouldn't be spent staggering about, being chased by a vet. His (most flippant I believe) response was to "give him a beer about an hour before." Needless to say, this was absolutely and entirely useless, and to this day I do not for the life of me understand why he couldn't have just prescribed some Valium that I would've been happy to have picked up so that my pig could've had a peaceful ending to his life. It was anything but, and I don't appreciate it. Perhaps he views pigs as "farm animals" and therefore somehow lesser than a dog or cat. I don't."
