"I came across Apex Advanced Medicine while searching for functional medicine doctors near me. I am in my 30s and have been diagnosed with Celiac disease since 2020. Last year, I had uncontrolled eczema that I've never had in my life and I could tell something was wrong with my body. The traditional medical system was not helping figure out my issues. My primary care physician kept sayings everything's fine and all I needed was some otc iron pills. Also the dermatologist I saw recommended I start Dupixent biweekly injections for an indefinite time. I cant stop it because it wont be effective then. It is a newer drug that's only been out for a few years and no long term studies have been done on the side effects. I was hesitant of course to go on it. I was just shocked and surprised that the dermatologist failed to even consider that the eczema might be being triggered by something. Insurance likely won't cover this stuff but I feel anything in life that helps keep you healthy is worth paying for even out of pocket. I think I saved enough money eating junk/unhealthy foods so I learnt my lesson the hard way."
