"Entering the land of the giants was truly magical. Seeing the Redwoods has been on my wish list since I was a little girl. We considered just going to Muir Woods, which is a lot closer to San Francisco, but my research told me I wouldn't be satisfied. Those are younger, MUCH smaller Redwoods. Recognizing the distance from San Fran and wanting to see as much as we could in 2 days, this tour was perfect. Our guide, Mary, promptly picked us up. We made some stops along the way to see other interesting places. Entering the Avenue of Giants was AMAZING. She walked us 4 adults (1 60ish and 3 25-35 yrs olds) through the trails, took family photos for us so we didn't need to do selfies or ask other visitors to take our photo. Our first day ended with a stay at the Eureka Inn, a charming inn that was once visited by former Presidents and celebrities. We had a fabulous dinner at a local pub that served one of the best filet mignons I've ever eaten. On our 2nd day, we headed more north to see even bigger Redwoods before heading back to San Fran. Our jaws kept dropping when we entered the forests. Both days were long, 12 hours each, but we loved every second. Being a native, Mary was very knowledgeable of the area and shared info and stories with us as we went along. She made recommendations and gave us choices on what we wanted to see or do within the time we had. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you want to see the real RedWoods, I can't recommend this tour enough. It's worth every penny & second."

"Mary is a friendly and patient tour guide with lots of knowledge about the city. She is also forthcoming in her sharing of everything. The trip itself is well organized. We had chance to visit many iconic places, including Stanford Uni, Lombard Street, Alcatraz Island, Napa Valley, Safari West Wildlife in San Francisco, to name just a few. Under her suggestion, we chose the right time to book the city Cable Car to travel up and down, which was super fun while not much crowded. The customer service is great as well. "We hired Golden Horizons for 1-1/2 day SF tour, and 1 full day Muir Woods and Sonoma Historic Plaza. Also, for 4 days in Yosemite. I can’t speak highly enough about our tour guides!! Mary took us around for the first 2 days and she was amazing! So knowledgeable and super friendly! We learned so much about the different neighborhoods and history of SF . She recommended an Italian restaurant in Historic Sonoma and it was awesome!! Highly recommend!!! Thanks Mary! The four days, 3 nights with Adam were totally amazing as well! He made sure we had the best rooms on the Merced before we ever checked in. Also wonderful stops on the ride to the park! We learned a ton and also loved his sense of humor. He took us right in to the Ahwanee Hotel for lunch so we would know exactly where to go! So much attention to detail and even sent pictures once we were home. "I don't even know where to begin this review because it really did blow my mind. Adam our driver and tour guide was amazing. He was very personable and friendly. We laughed so much during our time. He is also very knowledgeable about the locations we went to giving very interesting and detailed facts. He suggested so many tips to make the experience even more memorable such as which spots to check out for the best views and even took a few photos for us. He also showed us new features on our phone so that we could take just the right photos. Visiting the Muir woods he advised us of what paths to take and even took photos of us with the trees to get the full scope of not only the circumference but the sheer height of the trees as well. Since were were running low on time he also suggested a a cafe in Sausalito that we got seated right away and the food was delicious. So much so that I tried to see if they had a location near me when I got back home. Since we drove into San Francisco we would have to drive back home. This time we wanted to take the more scenic route and while we would have just plugged in the directions into the GPS Adam gave us specific cities to visit. This was by far one of the best experiences that I've had. I will definitely do another tour and request Adam!"
