"My stay here at Kindred has been nothing short but Excellent. I have not met a team member that doesn't practice very good Customer service skills. The staff's priority is first and always the patient. I personally, enjoy walking the halls for my exercise. Many staff members know the patients by their first name. They are never shy in giving a word or two of encouragement. At Kindred, loved one's are always in good hands."

"The only time your loved one will receive decent care here is if they're in the ICU. While my dad was in the ICU I was able to speak face to face with the doctors and they were responsive. The level of care went down several notches when my dad was out of the ICU. He was not repositioned every two hours as he should have been. This caused an ulcer on his behind to become infected. My dad was taken to Loma Linda for placement of a pacemaker. While my dad was at Loma Linda they looked at any other issues that required immediate attention. That's when we found out that he had an infection in his blood and the source of the infection was the ulcer on his behind. Prior to Loma Linda the nurses at Kindred told my stepmom that his ulcer was much smaller and healing properly. That was a complete lie! The doctors at Loma Linda removed some of the dead skin from my dad’s ulcer and started him on a strong IV antibiotic. While at Loma Linda his wound care was done daily. My dad was transferred back to Kindred, Unit 3, on 8/4/23. The nurses told my stepmom that they did their own assessment and stated my dad only needed wound care every 3 days. While visiting my dad on 8/11/23 I asked the night nurse (Margaret) to pls check their computer records and tell me the last time my dad had wound care. The nurse was unable to find the wound care info for my dad and had to ask for help to locate the info. This raised many concerns for me because she was my dad’s nurse for the night. When she finally found my dad’s wound care records she told me that his wound care was last done on 8/11/23. After that I went to my dad’s room to look at the dates written on the bandages for his leg amputations. The dates on his leg bandages were 8/8/23. Clearly there was no wound care done on 8/11/23. Once I saw the dates on his legs I asked his nurse to come over and show me the wounds on his behind. The dressings on his back said 8/5/23 and the large ulcer on his behind didn't even have a date. After that I went to place a formal complaint with Lady Linda. She documented my concerns and told me that the wound care nurse would be there in the morning if we wanted to be present to speak with that person. After that Lady Linda asked me if I was done because she needed me to leave so she could get back to wrk. The next morning my stepmom went to speak with the wound care nurse. She questioned why the wound care hadn't been done if they documented that it was done on 8/11/23. The wound care nurse told her that he didn't know because he was on vacation. The CNA helping Margaret on 8/11/23 that night told me that she tells all her patients to get their loved ones out of there. That speaks volumes about the type of care patients receive at this facility. On 8/13/23 we received a call around 2:45 AM to let us know that my dad had passed away. We arrived at Kindred around 3:30 am. They let us say our goodbyes and told us they would move him once we were done. After our final goodbyes I had to help the CNA place my dads body in the body bag because no one else was available to help. My dad had a PEG tube and a tube to drain his bladder in his stomach. There were fluids and blood dripping as we placed my dad into the body bag. NO ONE should ever have to do this after losing their father. These people are unprofessional, ill-equipped and have very little compassion for their patients and the families of their patients. I also want to point out another incident that occurred in July. I received a call in the middle of the night to let me know that my dad had coded and they had to do CPR. As the nurse was talking I realized that she wasn't talking about my dad. She was talking about a lady that was in the ICU room next to my dad. I figured it out on my own when she started providing PRIVATE HEALTH INFORMATION that was not related to my dad. I provided her with my dads name to confirm. At that point the nurse realized that she contacted the wrong family. This place needs to be shut down. There needs to be some accountability for their negligent behavior."
