"This has been the worst hospital I've delivered at. I gave birth in October and I'm still having issue with random bills by OBs who never saw me. I'm having to pick up missing paper work that they forgot to discharge me with.. my stay in general was awful. My birthing experience was great but that was due to MY OB but once he left the nurses were awful.. honestly the worst experience I've ever had. Please look into your options.. I felt this one would be convenient due to the location.. It's not worth it."

"Y’all really couldn’t diagnose me with mastitis. That’s embarrassing. I had to wait till my doctors office open and guess what it went away with simple antibiotics. Yes an actual doctor could not diagnose me with mastitis. He didn’t know what was wrong with breast and they sent me home. AGAIN IT WAS MASTITIS y’all should be ashamed that’s so embarrassing. All those test just for a mastitis. Yes i tell this story to everyone I encounter and give them the doctors name. It amazes me when I find out a doctor can actually be stupid at their job lmao"

"Came into the emergency room in excruciating pain. In my mind it was taking forever but according to my partner it was not really that long of time. Within a couple hours I passed the painful kidney stone that I didn't know was the cause of my pain. I was ready to go home pain free. The staff insisted on confirming the cause of my pain. With great team work they completed an arsenal of test confirming the cause, giving me medication on the spot to hold me over till I got home the following day. Thank You so much Emergency staff of Mercy Hospital South West Bakersfield from the Security Officer at the front Entrance to Nurses, Doctor and supporting staff that attended to me A HUGE THANK YOU. "As we sit here with a critically ill family member to pass after taken off ventilator the hospital security has asked us to move from the quiet surgical waiting area to the main lobby. Where there is not one person. Now we are not only waiting in a loud, cold busy waiting area but are subjected to the same security staff sitting and being extremely loud. The amusement and laughter from them is disgusting and disrespectful to those who are here in unmeasurable pain. Do better with your staff Mercy SW!"

"I love how everyone says to come here but Kern Medical cared more and had more resources. Perfect example is this pamphlet telling you to come in for help. Once you’re here, they tell you to come back and speak to the resource guide. Horrible. Waited almost 2 hours to be discharged after our nurse never came back. Very discouraging when it came to expressing concern. Towards the end, we were there just to be there. A bit rude when you ask them why you’re still waiting there to be discharged. Lesson learned. Don’t come here again"
