Motel 6 Thousand Oaks, CA

"Convenient location right off the freeway, walking distance to stores and restaurants. Room was clean, beds comfortable, however there were no microwaves."

"As a frequent traveling Motel 6 guest, I can attest that the Thousand Oaks location is among the very best properties in the chain, period. The staff and management are second to none from front office to housecleaning, the facility is outstanding, and the guest experience is as good as it gets. As with all properties, there can be some inconveniences from time to time, particularly with as many rooms as this property boasts, but the team at this location consistently go above and beyond to take inimitable care of their guests, and make staying at this location an absolute pleasure. All hotel staff should be this accommodating and efficient. I’ll be back again and again. Would that all the M6’s in the chain were this good. M6 Thousand Oaks is a not-so-hidden gem that you’ll be sorry you passed up if you haven’t stayed there yet. You can thank me later…."

"I checked in at midnight on a Tuesday. The gentleman at the desk was kind and checked me in quickly. I went to my room - 160- and opened the door (at midnight) to adult male in the room with a bicycle. Ok I ran back to the front desk- they tell me how that person should have checked out the night before but like.. They didn't check? They didn't do housekeeping? So unsafe - I am a young female traveling alone. The next room I was given is 284 - I open the door and immediately think someone is in the room again, bed is unmade, soap and towels all used. Back to the front desk. Had to wait for the guy to come back from yelling at the guy in 160 to get out. He finally gives me an "upgrade" to a double bed room-- just to make sure I can get a clean room, I was given 205. Finally a clean room but I didn't need two beds.... and now I was by the other 2 bed rooms so I had families and lots and lots of noise. Thin walls, door between rooms so you could hear EVERYTHING. Blankets were super thin and no extra blankets were available. Thermostat is from the 80s so you have a hard time getting it a comfortable temperature. 3 nights, 4 days and only 1 housekeeping visit. Overall my experience was tainted because they gave me a room key to open a door to an adult man's room. I could have been attacked and it was completely unsettling."

"When I checked in the room was hot. I called down to figure out how to shut heat off and they had maintenance at my room in less than 5 minutes. They had to switch the room over from winter to summer mode. But they did it quickly and efficiently and the next morning Brandon from the front desk was amazing and funny and calmed me quite a bit from the panic attack I was having over my first ever audition. I love this place. Clean rooms, great service and no bugs!"

"Second time this year we have stayed. Super friendly Desk staff - pm and am. For price, we were disappointed that there wasn't a microwave or fridge. We were also shorted bath towel supplies. We were told that we should have called the front desk. We were too tired to think of that but will if the problem arises again. We will probably stay again. Good location and quiet. ❤️"
