"Not the best place for a hike, but not lots of people either. The San Pasqual Valley is beautiful, but much of the trail is along roads, orchards, and sod farms. Not the most scenic. As you go farther west, you will enter more native habitat and see more wildlife. Roadrunners and coyotes are common. Not joking. A mountain bike, or gravel bike is the best mode of transportation on these trails. Keep in mind that all motor vehicles are prohibited here, including electric powered bicycles and the park rangers are often riding bikes here on their days off in normal clothing, or in their trucks watching trail users regularly while on duty."
