About the Business

Dog Beach

Dog Beach is a popular tourist attraction located on the Huntington Beach Bike Trail in Huntington Beach, California. This park is a leash optional area where dogs can run and play freely on the sandy shores. However, it is important to keep your dog leashed until you have reached the beach sand to ensure their safety.

Dogs must be leashed in the parking lot and on the upper bluff area to prevent any accidents or disturbances to other visitors. With many squirrels, birds, and other distractions present, even well-trained dogs may be tempted to stray.

It is essential to be mindful of leashed dogs that may be new to the environment and to respect the leash law for the safety of all visitors. Dog Beach is located next to Highway 1, posing a potential danger to dogs if they were to run onto the highway.

To protect your dog and ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors, please adhere to the leash law and keep your furry friend safe during your visit to Dog Beach.

"Nice place clean and beautiful sunset the dogs didn’t know what to think about the water but was really nice to be able to bring them so they can get use to the water"

"I prefer parking in Bolsa Chica with my pass and walking to dog beach. My dog would give this beach 5 stars! I love coming here but hate it when there's a lot of trash. But we always have fun."

"My cousin and I came here to say goodbye to her pup. A month later we had to say goodbye to mine. Something told me I should head to the beach at sunset. She passed one week later. It's a beautiful beach. It's always a lovely time. Please be mindful of your dog and their behavior and everyone will have a great time. Being able to bring the dogs here is a privilege so please help keep the beach clean so our babies don't eat bad things. Bring poop bags to pick up after them. That said, this is the cleanest beach I've ever been to! Also, be prepared to hug some wet dogs! Parking is $3.50 an hour. It uses your license plate so take a picture on your phone before you pay if you don't know your plate. The meter does not take cash, so bring a debit or credit card."

"Huntington's Dog Beach is very famous, and I often come to play. When my puppy comes here, he will feel very happy, and the puppies here are very friendly. The only disadvantage is that there are too few places for tourists to change clothes, and there is no place for tourists to take a shower."
