"The people at the front desk were nice, but everything else was vile and disgusting. The rooms were filled with the smell of smoke, weed and other drugs, in the parking lot, I saw some completely filthy homeless people shooting up sone meth, and there were cockroaches in my room. Do not stay here, and pay some extra to stay in a better part of town."

"Absolutely horrendous. The door took 2 minutes too long to get open and immediately walking in surprised us with the fresh smell of cigarettes. We thought we could get used to it but within 15 seconds of looking around we found cockroaches all over the floor and the table beneath the TV. This is not to mention the disgusting stained floor and dirty furniture. The location is horrible being right off the freeway with constant loud car sounds. The lady at the front desk was nice though. Overall, cockroach, mosquito, and probably bed bug infested place, smelled like cigarettes, and basically dysfunctional door. Not worth 100 dollars a night, you couldn’t pay me to sleep there."

"I don’t normally leave bad reviews on hotels because I have low standards but this one deserved it. Even though I only slept 1 night. Trust me read the reviews and believe them. Pay a bit extra and stay some where else. The only good thing is nice treatment from the front desk, other than that, it’s horrible. Some person had music blasting until 2 am. If I hadn’t had earplugs I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Not to mention smoke smell inside the room, and other drugs as well. Again pay a bit extra, stay else where and believe the reviews"

"The only reason that this hotel gets a star., is the front desk staff was good. I checked in and used the restroom. After eating dinner and watching some videos, I went to use the restroom again, and the floor was flooded. The toilet didn't overflow, it was just leaking. While I was in the lobby, there was another customer refusing to stay and wanted a refund because the room was dirty. I got my new room, and there were clumps of long hair hanging from the shower curtain and in the tub. Non smoking rooms reeked of stale smoke. I'm a hardcore traveler, I only need clean sheets, a shower and a place to sleep, this hotel tested my limits. Breakfast was waffles, expired yogurt, instant coffee, and stale bagels. This hotel is next to the freeway, so I expected some traffic noise, but there were loud cars racing up and down in the early morning, not unexpected the CA police won't do anything. Overall, I survived. Was it worth $130, not a chance."

"This is a fairly clean place. The lady at the front desk was very nice. The continental breakfast isn't like at hotel circle , but it does have a variety of food to choose from and it beats no breakfast. The pool is green and not usable , which was kinda disappointing , but overall the place is clean and well maintained. It's not a fancy place , but it isn't torn up and that means something when getting a motel room in El Cajon. One thing I do give them cudos for is that they have a good size frig on the rooms. It isn't little like most motels have. It also has an electric stove , a microwave and a sink and counter for cooking. Plus there is a desk with a chair and they have deep drawers for clothes , plus cabinets and drawers in the kitchenette. I'm not sure what the rates are , but as far as accommodating goes , they definitely put a good step forward. I rate this place at three stars , because five stars for a motel means excellent . This place isn't excellent , but it is above average and when considering it's competition it certainly beats out places like The Relax Inn ."
