Extended Stay America - Los Angeles - San Dimas

"stay away from this place, the staffs are unwelcoming, we were planning on booking a stay for 1-2 months, however upon arrival, the front desk already alienated us, they won’t even let us check the room before making the full non-refundable payment! It is clear that there are problems with their rooms that they’re trying to cover up and just want to take our money! one staff tried to show us the room (jackie) but was INSTANTLY halted by the manager (some male employee). They gave us bogus reasons at first which was “all the rooms are full”, but i can pay and check in immediately?? when pressed, the guy just avoids the question and keep on giving more lies."

"My husband and I just spent two nights with our two cats at extended stay America, San Dimas, California. It is a beautiful community and lots of places to eat nearby, and the hotel was clean and sufficient for our needs. We had everything needed with our little room, and a kitchenette And the staff was very helpful. Especially Miguel, who helped us with some problems getting into our room when the key didn’t work and also the lovely front desk staff were most accommodating. Sure it is not The Ritz, but that’s not its purpose! A lot of people with dogs and cats stay there and it is not a high priced place, but it was clean and neat and safe, and in a very nice area. Thank you ESA!"

"My previous experience was awful to say the least. The heavy set female staff member was not helpful at all and not friendly. I was assigned room #102 but key card had issues and then was assigned room 228. The toilet in that room was not cleaned, toilet had urine stains. Unbelievable and unacceptable. I will never come back to this location again."

"Extended Stay Managers and staff, especially Jackie and Juan were professional, kind, and welcoming to this weary traveler! I noticed two main groups, families, and seniors with service animals and or multiple disabilities. THANKFULLY, their hotel never "smells" like pet dander- I have severe allergies , so this was a blessing. I will be back! Side note on San Dimas: So far January 2024 to 1.30.2024, I have found the shopkeepers and residents to be very pleasant and welcoming! One day when I can own my own home and the Metro comes in 2026( estimated), San Dimas will be at the top of my short list."

"This hotel is a cluster of errors and issues. Can’t get into the lobby to check in without somebody coming to the glass doors to open it for you. Once you check in the keys, they give you don’t work. I had to come down no less than three times to get a single key to work. Once we got in the room, the smoke detector was covered with plastic, and the room was reeked of smoke. We went to get another room. Keys didn’t work again had to go downstairs three times. Finally the lobby person came up couldn’t get the door to open, even with his master key had to go downstairs and leave a standing at the doorway in the hallway at some point he came back and was able to get the door open, but we continue to have key issues the entire stay even at the lobby door. In all, I think we ended up swapping our keys out eight times. Our room was old not very clean. The couch has duct tape on it. There are no ice machines and we were told to make our own ice with ice trays in the freezer (there are no ice trays in the freezer). Trashes piling up as tall as me in the trash collection area. The elevator smelled like weed every day. The ceiling fan has a lightbulbs just dangling off of it with no cover for the bulbs. One of the beds is literally almost in the closet… and so on. This place should be 1 star place"
