"I'm shocked at the great reviews that this office has. My mom had a toothache and she went to emergenct dental office in West allis on a Sunday, they took a pan xray & recommended extracting #1 &16. She has Medicare dental ins with UHC and we found the earliest availability with Midwest the following week. Well I had wednesday off so I figure, I'd call and see if they can get her in sooner since she had a full blown tooth infection. They said we could come in that morning. We get there, fill out new patient paper work, get called back with dental assistant. She asks, what are we here for? I explain to her that my mom has a tooth infection, took her to emergency dental office just on Sunday and they had recommended extracting #1 & 16. She opens the chart and seems a little unsure, then asks to take xrays. I said, you should have received the referral and pan xray that the west allis emergency dental office just took a couple of days ago. She steps out and then returns and explains she double checked w dentist and they want a PA, which is fine. I'm a dental hygienist so I understand they want a better xray of the target tooth. But after the xray, dentist explains they don't have time for tooth extraction today, and to return the following day. ??? Confused as to why front desk agreed to move appt up when they knew what she was scheduled for. Anyhow, the next day she returns and they pull #16 but refer her out to oral surgeon for the other. Month later we schedule with oral surgeon. My sister took her to the appt and the oral surgeon office is confused bc the referral from midwest states to extract #16, the tooth already pulled. So they take another panorex and confirm #16 is already gone but #1 isn't necessary to extract. Now we are receiving insurance denial for the panorex due to frequency and my mom has paid a lot of $ due to miscommunication of Midwest dental office. Do not recommend going here. As someone with experience in a dental office, I don't know how this office is running with this poor of communication. I was hoping to establish my mom as a patient here with the good reviews and that they take her ins, but looks like we are better off finding a different office that takes her ins or just paying out of pocket. Regardless, will take business else where and not return."

"By far one of the worst experiences here. My mom had lots of pain coming in from her wisdom teeth and we had taken her to an emergency dental place. We paid for xrays out of pocket and received a paper referral for the place we would take her to get them taken out and would be covered by insurance, which was Midwest Dental. We managed to get an appointment for the extraction after we emailed the referral to Midwest Dental later in the week. After calling and speaking to the receptionist to see if there were any cancellations, they said we could bring my mom in earlier. Upon arriving to the office, the receptionist and dentist were confused and did xrays on my mom again even though we already sent over the referral and told us to come the next day for the actual extraction. We were already frustrated with their miscommunication at this point but all we could do was bring her back the next day. They take out one of the wisdom teeth and refer us out to another office in network with an actual oral surgeon for the second wisdom tooth. A few weeks later, when we take her to the other office, they are confused because the tooth that Midwest Dental referred them about was the one they already extracted. The second office did another x ray to double check and, yes, Midwest Dental already took out the wisdom tooth on their referral and the other wisdom tooth did not need to be removed. We have recently received mail from my mom’s health insurance saying they will not cover the second xray done at the second office Midwest Dental referred us out to because they already covered the first one done at Midwest Dental. We’ve wasted a lot of time and money with this place and the overall communication has been terrible."
