"We just enjoyed a three night stay in the suite with our adult son who is stationed at Vandenberg AFB. What a delightful place! The succulent plants placed all around the motel were gorgeous! The suite was very spacious and superior over many Air B and B’s we have frequented. Spacious, comfy beds, fully to stocked kitchen and lots of extra little touches. My son loved the retro record player. It was a little loud, but the earplugs provided, drowned out the road noise. I would definitely return to the Shell Beach Inn!"

"The decor is a mix of retro furniture and rustic accents, giving it a unique and homey feel. The attention to detail is evident, from the cozy blankets and pillows to the thoughtful touches leaving an ice cooler with ice, ear plugs if needed, a little bucket with wipes to clean your make-up off, coupons for restaurants near by. If you have children there is the dinosaur cave about a block away. The location is perfect for those looking to explore the area, with easy access to both delicious dining options and the beautiful ocean. It's clear that the hosts have put a lot of effort into creating a comfortable and welcoming space for their guests. Overall, a charming and inviting place to stay with a lot of character. We will be back to stay again. Absolutely loved this place."

"Lovely little motel. Our room was very clean , the area was quiet, bed was comfortable. The only complaint was the shower pressure is a bit weak and the hot water takes a long time to heat up but that may just be a function of the area or how their water is done. The important thing was the high level of cleanliness, comfort and free parking. The area was nice also, walkable to the beach, some of the small coffee shops and stores in the area were lovely."

"This place was a lovely little surprise for our one night stay as we drove up the coast. The staff was super helpful and set us up for a touch less check-in. Shout out to Connie for being so lovely to work with! The room was really well appointed and comfortable. We also enjoyed being able to walk around the neighborhood and down to the ocean. "Wonderful location and beautiful rooms. In walking distance to restaurants and a short drive to Avila Beach. The heated pool was delightfully perfect for our family of 4. We stayed in room #6 and only wished we could have stayed longer. The beds were very comfortable and luxurious!!! The personnel were friendly and very helpful. They welcomed us with a container of fresh ice, popcorn and hot chocolate packets for the kids."
