"We have been going to this office since 2016. I'm not sure if there was an office staff change or what but this whole year has been awful dealing with the office managers to get refills. My mother goes through a patient assistance program which has its own pharmacy. Anything that has to do with refilling her prescriptions through them is a mess. Amy, who is in charge of medication hates her job and is outright rude to the pharmacy as well as me whenever a refill is needed. She has hung up on both me & the pharmacy. I finally called & spoke to the other office manager, Cynthia who only cares about covering for Amy and was unhelpful in resolving the issues to get my mom's anti-seizure meds refilled. At this point, my mom is out of her medication and her prescription still has yet to be refilled. There's no oversight and they just get away with being incompetent. My advice is to find a different office. Don't go through what I am."

"Dr. Banafsheh Yafeh treated my husband at Long Beach Memorial during his second stroke in September 2018. Unlike the doctors during his first stroke, she took the time to patiently go over his test results and explain the damage in language any ordinary person under duress could understand. He was incapacitated and, under her care, as she promised, he was back home for Christmas dinner, which is no small feat considering his setbacks and numerous health issues. We are very glad to have found her and he continues to see her during his recovery. She is a brilliant neurologist AND also a strong advocate for her patients and their families. Office visits with her have been a smooth experience for us -- we have not had any long waits and her front office staff are great in helping us with filing benefits and coverage paperwork."

"My dad saw Dr. Aboutalib here after having leg and back pain for months. After some thorough tests they were able to diagnosis the problem and referred him to PT. PT didn't seem to resolve his issue so he suggested getting an MRI done. Despite doing an MRI elsewhere, Dr. Aboutalib reviewed the results and provided a second opinion to move forward with surgery. Now my dad is pain free and back to normal thanks to the care and proper diagnosis from Dr. Aboutalib and his office. Highly recommend this place if you need a neurologist!"

"Dr Abutalib originally said we feel if CBD helped that the major major arm n leg spasming and fascinating. The cause MUST be from ppsycho-genasis . them my psychiatricly stated they don't prescribe anything for that and i need a neurologist. The next time i addressed that statement he said i misunderstood that since CBD was helping that i should use as a new med may mean possible new side effects. Today he changed again and returned to his first opinion it is caused by a psychological issue. Dude is fracked. I know my body and told him he is wrong. I think that we have reached an impass and if I continue to have the condition after neck surgery(different Dr) i will address at that time, no i don't want a different doc in your office to look at his weighted referall. Can i give less than a star in my review :("

"This place is absolutely terrible. They made me wait forever. Paid $200 at the office. He spent a whole 1.5 minutes with me about my daily headaches and said "I think you might need physical therapy on your neck". Never refered me to a physical therapist. Then I get this bill 10 months later for another $300. Crooked!!!"
