Regal Irvine Spectrum

"The IMAX is good. The sound system is phenomenal. You naturally feel the bass reverberate throughout you. Seat F20 is the best, centered both horizontally and vertically. 2 rows down, Row D gives you the railing to put your feet up on and you only have to look up a bit. But I still prefer row F. The seats are not recliners but if you push your body back, the seat tilts back manually a little bit. Honestly I'm kind of over it. You hear the film projector fan running during the quiet parts of the movie. And even though the screen is huge, you sometimes notice graininess, unlike digital projectors. In fact in this day and age, the screen isn't much bigger than an RPX screen. Finally after a while, my bottom hurts in those seats because they're not the luxury recliners. I also love the VIP auditoriums. They have fully reclining lazy boy chairs and you can bring a beer inside. In fact you can pre-order a second beer that they'll bring to your seat midway through the movie. Note that row D represents the equivalent of sitting half way back in a standard theater. Seats 8 & 9 put you right in the center of the screen. They also serve food like flatbread pizzas, delivered to your seat! On the other hand the ScreenX experience is interesting with 3 monitors (front, left, right). However I feel it's gimmicky in that only during certain parts of the movie do the left and right screens turn on, otherwise they're off. While seat 9 puts you in the center of the ScreenX, you shouldn't sit any lower than row G or H in order to be aligned properly with the 3 screens. They have a Lavazza coffee stand onsite. They also have a boba tea stand onsite. If you walk down the left side hallway you'll notice a bar with alcohol. You can bring your drink into any of the theaters, not just the VIP theaters."

"Greatest movie theater in the world. Really Great Place to see more IMAX 70mm movies. Every Movie on IMAX 70mm will be the best, especially TENET. I really recommend this theater to everyone that does love going to the movies and Regal Irvine Spectrum as much as I do. The design and architecture of this place is very phenomenal and perfect for the Irvine Spectrum Center. I wanted to give this place 7 stars instead of 5. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"One of the very few theaters in the world that has a 70mm IMAX screen, this modern cinema is the place to go to for a movie going experience that will blow you away. I had a chance to see (and feel!) Oppenheimer here, and it really made the movie a lot better."

"Very friendly service. Tuesday value ticket price is very hard to beat at $6.50. Concessions are what you would expect and that's a compliment. Large parking garage a short walk from the theater as well. I consider it well worth the drive."
