The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Thrift Shop is a store located at 870 17th Avenue in Santa Cruz, California, United States. Open to the public seven days a week from 11am to 6pm, with adoptions ending at 5pm. Meet and greets must be scheduled before 4:45pm. The Watsonville Shelter is located at 580 Airport Blvd., Watsonville.

Adoptions are done on a first come, first served basis. Interested individuals can view available animals on the website and then visit the Shelter at 1001 Rodriguez St. in Santa Cruz to submit an application. Proof of home ownership or landlord approval is required for all adoptions. If an animal is in Foster Care, an appointment must be scheduled to meet the animal.

Adoption hours are from 10am to 5pm, with all shows starting before 4:45pm. Applications sent via email will not be reviewed. Interested individuals can print and fill out an adoption application or fill one out at the Shelter. Many adoptable animals are in Foster homes, so appointments are necessary to meet them.

I had never been to the shelter before, but google maps brought me there and the staff was wonderful and helping them get reunited with their family."
