Beanies Mexican Restaurant

"I really don't want to be negative about this place, but I've been going there since I was a kid, and the food has really gone downhill. First off, my meal was the chorizo tacos. $20 for three tacos and a side of rice???? Okay maybe if they're the best tacos in the region I'll pay that. The tacos were really bland but the rice was so bad I didn't eat it. For some reason someone thought it would be a good idea to dump lime juice all over it, and it just doesn't work. The staff and waitress are fine. Will not be stopping back unless I hear the food is substantially better."

"Though the atmosphere is fun, the food is nothing to go back for. I had the shrimp po boy tacos and it was filled mostly with shredded lettuce. Although it did have the breaded shrimp, there was little taste and absolutely no sauce. I had to add salsa just to give it something. Definitely not worth the $. If I were to go back, drinks only."

"The service by the waitresses is phenomenal. The environment is inviting and the swings at the bar are pretty neat. The food on the other hand is absolutely disappointing. This is the fourth time I’ve been to this restaurant. I will no longer waste my money there. The chips are always stale, the nachos had zero toppings on them even though it said it was supposed to be loaded nachos. It had minimal tiny cut up pieces of guacamole, and just a sprinkle of black olives and the hamburger meat on there was like it came from the bottom of the bucket at the end of the evening, even though it wasn’t the end of the evening. Instead of having a creamy, nacho cheese, it had melted shredded cheese, which just gets hard and sticks to each other. The margarita was fabulous, I’ll give them that. But I will never be going to this restaurant again. I have given it enough tries to make an educated decision that it is not worth my time ."

"We were staying nearby & wanted Mexican food for dinner, so we found Beanies. Love the outdoor igloos, wish we could've planned for that. Very pretty Christmas decor. 1st thing you see when you walk in is the Swings around the bar... LOVE this, what a fun concept. We were offered chips & salsa right away. Drinks were good and made perfect. The Taco Salad fell a bit short of expectations..... it was mostly lettuce. But I was hungry, so I finished it without saying anything. Enchiladas were EXCELLENT! Husband got full, so I helped him finish his too. Our service was wonderful."

"I am struggling to see how this place has 4 stars. First, I will say the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The food was bad. I honestly would have rather eaten a can of soup. The salsa looked and tasted like they opened a can of crushed tomatoes and added chili powder to it. The guacamole tasted like mashed up avocado with chili powder sprinkled on top. The beef enchilada was dry and oddly didn't have any chili powder added to it. On top of the bad food, it was really over priced in my opinion. Our bill came to almost $70 (for 2 of us) and we didn't even have alcohol."
