"The restaurant looks fantastic and the service was great. Totally friendly staff. Quickly seated and the atmosphere was homey and enjoyable. Felt like you were in the original Cracker Barrel with down home service and environment. But I must say the food was not what I thought it would be. I ordered the meatloaf and I don’t mind saying that it was actually probably the worst meatloaf I’ve ever tasted and I’ve had hundreds. The inside was cold, so I’m not sure if they microwaved it or if they heated up in the stove. It was served with mashed potatoes, and the center of the mashed potatoes was also cold. The breakfast items were tasty but it’s harder to mess up on breakfast. I definitely would try it again. I just don’t recommend the meatloaf."

"Went for breakfast for the 1st time. I had the Door County stuffed French Toast and hubby had the regular French Toast. We both had it with bacon. The server was great. I love stuffed French Toast, but I was disappointed. I'm allergic to onions and I think they fried the bacon with onions. It kind of ruined the dish for me. I gave my bacon to hubby. Only ate about half. I'm sure this is just me. Next time we'll ask to be seated away from the kitchen as all I could smell was onions cooking. I won't get this again."

"Very nice family restaurant in Richfield. Reminds me a little of a Cracker Barrel, but with a personal touch. The service was great, with the servers helping each other out even if it wasn't their table. The food was above average. I had Chili, a Cheeseburger and we ordered a Fried Cheese sampler. The Cheeseburger was great, juicy and cooked right. Chili was hot and good flavor, though I did have to add hot sauce. I will go back."

"Old school look. Lots of wood. Came here during the week for lunch with the family. Good crowd too. Had the 1729 BLT.   Fresh sliced turkey with thick cut bacon. I enjoyed the baked beans too The boy had cheese curds and said they were the best. My wife had the steak noodle bowl and it was not good. Way too much garlic and the steak was gritty. But they did not charge us for it Unfortunately, the service was just not good. They were slow to respond and even to check up on us."

"What a WONDERFUL dining experience ! Not only was the food excellent, but our server, Katie D., was second-to-none. She was very engaging, communicative and enjoyable to talk with...and she knew how often to come back and check on us so as not to be intrusive. My wife and I shared an order of Battered Green Beans ( I seriously could have only ordered these and would have been more than happy ) and I had the Sawmill Chicken Roller ( minus the tomatoes and with crunchy chicken ) with rice pilaf and savored every. single. bite. It was so good that I made a point to ask Katie to tell the cook / chef that the food was amazing and that I really enjoyed what they had prepared. To close this out, the food, in combination with the superb service from Katie, made this an *EXCEPTIONAL* experience. I can't recommend this place enough...and I know that we'll be back as soon as we're in the area again !!"
