"Ordered a Thai chicken salad - it was essentially old romaine (starting to brown), a little bit of grated carrot, a small amount of chicken and maybe cilantro? The Thai peanut dressing was basically just sugar syrup. Terrible $10 salad The detox island green smoothie is good though. Know that any other regular smoothie on the menu is not going to be "healthy" from a sugar standpoint. You can opt to remove the added sugar from any of the smoothies and they will still taste good."
"July 15/2023 update: Tried the Hummus Veggie Wrap. It was good, but not as good as the one my wife had a week ago. A bit inconsistent. Used a 50% off good coupon in the Tropical Smootie app, so still worth it. As a bonus, I was credited a free smoothie next visit (since this was my first food order!). Only available with the app so be sure to download and sign up for rewards! Feb 2023: Great to have a Tropical Smoothie Cafe so close. Great wintery day in Madison Wisconsin for a smoothie. I tried the Island Green which has Kale and Spinach along with mango, pineapple and banana. Wow is it ever good and the healthy green ingredients are cleverly hidden in the flavor, but the smoothie is bright green! See pictures."
"SO yummy and fresh! We will be back. Thank you to the staff who were super friendly and welcoming!! Everything was excellent and it was so nice to find something unique and healthy. 100% reasonably priced for the quality. Everything here was $26 before tip. I got the Thai chicken salad- delicious peanut dressing, side of kale apple slaw- unique and filling! And the detox island green smoothie sub Splenda felt nice on my upset stomach. My boyfriend tried the Caribbean jerk chicken wrap- pineapple salsa and the chicken was perfect. The pomegranate plunge smoothie was delightfully sweet. The edible straw was a fun try! I love environmentally friendly alternatives."
