"If i could give no stars i would. Quality control is non existent at this place i have put 2 engine in from them in a year. first one lasted a few thousand miles before exhaust valve failure. The replacement engine they sent the front cover holes where soaked in paint and spatter could not thread half the pulley bolts into it with out taping the threads. from the first start up it has had valvetrain noise. STAY FAR AWAY from this company. spend your money somewhere else. They want you to diagnose why are what has failed in their engines. They use cheapest parts possible."
"Trans was supose to be at our shop for customer in 4 days After 2 weeks tristar says somthing in there system didnt let it get shipped out, then they ask us if we still want it with no warranty unless we upgrade about 2000 dollars more. This wasnt explained when we purchased transmission. The cust. Backed out and we lost the job. Very poor communication with tristar."
"My boyfriend purchased a truck that just had a tri star rebuilt motor put in it. Seized up before it hit 20,000 miles. Tri star replaced it under warranty (still had to pay for labor) and that motor seized up before it hit 15,000 miles. When we contacted Tri star they informed us the warranty was only based on the first motor and had ended. Absolutely ridiculous that not only did they give us 2 garbage motors but that they wouldn’t even stand behind their work and warranty the 2nd one."
"Chad and team have been awesome! My son and I decided to do a rebuild and restoration of a 1995 Ford F-150 and the Tri Star Engines and Transmissions team has been outstanding. We ordered an engine block and transmission. Both were in excellent shape and now we have a truck delivered back from the dead! Great work team!! Being a home garage and a ‘father - son’ project, we really appreciate your support, assistance, and quality products!!"
