"I went in to outdoor ventures to inquire about a kayak and the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I put some money on a boat I wanted so they would hold it for a couple of days and when I had an emergency and was unable to follow through with my purchase they were completely understanding and kind. I will definitely be buying my next kayak and other outdoor accessories from this store as soon as I am once again able. Top notch people and gear!"

"BEWARE ! Overcharge !! Been shopping here for over 15 years. Bought over $120-. Bill seemed high but didn't have glasses ... went to car & saw was over charged for 2 bracelets- $2- more than tag showed. Went in and spoke to young man that checked me out- sorry that's the way it rung up. Asked to speak to a manager- She said "well the invoice we received stated the price we charged you So that's what we paid so have to charge." I said really ? that's not the price on tag! Well we can't replace all tags. So I asked so you aren't going to charge what the price tag says ? " No" . The point was it was wrong, should've returned all - but returned items Over charged. Went home looked online Scheels and other stores had at price of tag ! So they feel their invoice ( which I doubt cuz of other stores ) was what they paid so that's what they charge the customer ? How dumb they think we are that we think that's what they paid & now we have to overpay. Am Done shopping here !! extremely disappointed in how they treat a regular customer. Will never take my guest here and if they want to go in I'll explain they overcharge."

"The selection of outdoor gear is excellent. I don’t want to put this on the owner but the number of people loitering and not shopping was incredibly distracting. It’s like I would be interrupting a conversation to shop. To echo what another reviewer said, some of the primo brands here run small, stock the bigger sizes (this is Wisconsin after all). That and some deals at the end of the season would be expected. I’m our trips to Door County they are discounting at this time of the year, I didn’t see too much here."

"Bought a higher end kayak from them. The staff took the time to make sure I had it properly secured to my vehicle and gave instructions on use. Price was competitive. Would do business with them again. Happy!"
