"Dermot remodeled 2 full baths and a kitchen for us in 2012. We are very OCD and did a lot of research beforehand. We interviewed a wide range of contractors, designers, companies - everything from trendy design firms to Home Depot and Lowe's. Dermot is your go-to for kitchen cabinets, bath cabinets, and and kitchen remodel jobs. He's very communicative, honest, gives you the bottom-line price (and tells you it's not the rock-bottom price), and can throw in some ideas about design if you're clueless or about to do something you will regret big-time. He's extremely patient (one of our email threads went over 100 messages), completed our project in the time frame he gave us, and was always cheerful about his work. He helped us on every aspect of the project: design, cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, electrical, demolition/permits, etc. Several months later, he and his subcontractors have been out to fix/follow up on any issues that came up rather than dumping us like I am sure others would have. It might be a bit cheaper to do this through Home Depot, but the hassle and headache won't be worth it. Save money by going for the generic toilet paper, not the corporate contractor.
