"I bought two 7 ft market umbrellas after our shade tree blew down in Phoenix. We needed instant shade! I like the looks of a market umbrella better than the much cheaper crank kind so payed $160 each. I’m so disappointed!!! The wood dowels were beveled too small for the brass coupling so they never stand straight. They were that was from the get go but now as the wood has compressed even more from teetering in the breeze they look ridiculous! I can not recommend California market umbrellas. Stick with the Home Depot crank kind. They will stand straight up in the breeze!"

"The absolute worst customer service! As a Wayfair Pro customer, they have tried for weeks to just get them to pick-up the phone and give a shipment date on two separate orders. If you have not already placed an order with them, please, save yourself some grief and look elsewhere."

"Would give a zero if I could. The crank no longer works. Called the customer service # and nobody answers the phone. You can chat online and they promise to get back with you, but don't. All I want to do is replace the cord, but there are no instructions with what I bought or on their website. WASTE OF MONEY. Finally got someone to message me and they said to get up with a pool supply company for this concern. No instructions were offered on how to fix the cord. No wonder this company has such a low star rating on google."

"Bought four of these for our pool area in Michigan. We only use a few months of the year. Last year in first year two broke and now today with massive 5 mph winds a third just broke and is now unusable. Wasted $800 as we now need to buy four new umbrella one year after buying these."

"Bought an umbrella online. It broke after 2 month of occasional use. It is covered by 1 yr warranty, but the customer service is unreachable. Sent two emails and a left a phone message - no response. Waisted $500+. Avoid! Update 9/9/2022: Eventually, the vendor sent me a replacement frame, so I am all set. Changed the review from 1 to 4 stars. Would of give 5 if it did not break in first place."
