"This review is a little late in coming but "better late than never"--as they say. My partner and I had a Saturday to spend in Sonoma in early March. We took the opportunity to do some wine tasting and decided to visit Baldassari. It was long past lunch by then, unseasonably chilly, We found ourselves ensconced in the corner of an inviting tasting lounge. The warm sun shining through the windows, light chatter of friends at the counter, and the comfortable couch made for a cozy, easy afternoon of sampling Baldassari's delicious wines. We can't say enough about Dom and his gracious hospitality as he took time to explain the wines (with map showing the different regions where the grapes are grown) and to answer our questions about the wine business (contracts between wine makers and grape growers; how climate has affected the business with more frequent extreme temperatures, etc.). It was a memorable afternoon, and we can't thank Dom enough for that. We highly recommend a visit to Baldassari for the wine and, certainly, for Dom's hospitality. Gerald"
