"Walked into the store last weekend and found a picture I really liked I decided to come in today to purchase a picture when I went in I was not greeted but when I was greeted it was with snickering remarks are “you’re back again? “ with an arrogant tone “ are you actually going to purchase today? “ after I told her I wanted to purchase the picture they said it was $500 dollars more !!!!! I WAS APPALLED I asked to speak to the OWNER JULIE and they said she was “out of town” this place is a monopoly!! Quit ripping Bakersfield off ! They also claim to have best of Bakersfield which is a total lie!! Absolutely trash! I was helped by a red head women. SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR WALLET Julie you’re a rip off"

"As an Interior Designer this store is a wonderful asset to my business. Julie, the owner is very knowledgeable and very helpful. Their pricing on furniture is great especially in this market. Unfortunately furniture and shipping has gone up due to Covid and the financial environment but I still find a great deal at The French Quarter !!!! Make sure to stop in and check out their wonderful accessories too! All the employees are so helpful and easy to work with. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !!!"

"They agreed on a cash price including taxes and delivery. I made an offer on the piece, and they accepted the terms. They failed to pay the delivery people. The delivery guys tried to collect from me. I informed the delivery guys that the store would be paying the small fee. The store didn't pay. I called the store and remineded them of what we had agreed to. The retail sticker price for the piece was $2,895, or $3,133 dollars including taxes. I paid her $3,100 in cash for the piece to include tax and delivery. I called the store to straighten out the dispute whereby Kim (store lady) told me that any furniture that I buy in the future will be full price. I exclaimed: "I just paid full price!!!" she hung up on her valued customer (me). The average markup on furniture is 200% - 400% according to small business.chron.com. I am astounded at the greediness of this store. I hope it was worth it to the "French Quarter"."
