About the Business
Petites Merveilles is a unique school located on Roosevelt Avenue in Berkeley, California. Our institution is designed to provide a safe and engaging space for young children to learn and grow. With a capacity of 12 children, we offer enrollment for children between the ages of 2 and 6 years for 2, 3, or 5 days per week. Our curriculum is based on Dr. Maria Montessori's method, focusing on love, respect, and curiosity.
At Petites Merveilles, children engage in a variety of activities that promote their development, including practical life skills, early literacy, and pre-math skills. Our daily routine includes singing, dancing, gardening, and learning through joyful experiences. After lunch, we have a relaxation period with read-alouds, followed by nap time for some children and calm activities for others.
One unique aspect of Petites Merveilles is that we conduct all activities in French. We believe that the early years are the best time to learn a second language, and being immersed in a French-speaking environment allows children to learn naturally. In addition to language learning, we also incorporate aspects of French culture into our daily routines, while celebrating the diverse cultural backgrounds of all our students.
