"Great place for kids to learn Martial Arts. They take care of your kids like a family member. Love this place."
"I did kickboxing here and loved it, seriously thinking about doing it again. Now my son, who is 5, does karate there and he loves it. The instructors are amazing with the kids and have so much patience with them and he is learning really quick."
"Updated review: June 2018: After almost hitting two years of bringing my child 2-4 days per week to karate, I felt it was time to pull him from this program and seek another program due to the lack of attention and teaching practices that 1-2 punch has. My child is 5 and throughout the years that he has been enrolled, I have saw little progression. The teachers do not really spend much time with the kids teaching them and correcting them. They have other kids from the older programmers running the classes which results in very little structure, no correction, no actual karate moves being taught, and it basically turns into a mad house. Maybe this contradicts my original post which I left below to be fair and maybe at this age group you are limited to what you can teach a child. However, after checking out other places, we have quickly learned that this program is no longer for us and what we are wanting for our child. If you are looking to have your kid interact with other kids, learn the very very basics, and have fun, then this place is for you. If you are looking for your kid to learn real moves, techniques, engage in self defense, and be respectful, then you may want to look around at other programs. The new place that we signed our child up has 1 main master “instructor” and one assistant instructor - he kept control of the class and corrected every kid along the way. I watched other kids, same age as mine, yellow and orange belts, who were very impressive with their moves. While my son who is a blue belt, could not throw a proper punch, kick, stance, and others. Again, if you want your kid to have fun, this is the place but if you want your kid to learn at a much much higher level, be aware and seek another place. I hope this helps in your decision. Original review - 2 years ago: Great place for children learning. Structure, discipline, and self defense. The instructors keep the children very engaged throughout the class. They spend time with your child if they see he is having a difficult time picking something up. My son is 3 and he loves going. Some weeks 3-4 times we bring him. He is always asking to go. Reasonably priced. Very friendly. Would recommend if you are looking for a place to bring your child to learn something and keep them entertained."
"My 6-year-old son participates in the Karate Kidz class and is doing GREAT! My husband and I are so happy with our experience with The 1-2 Punch Family Martial Arts & Fitness Center! Master Domino and his staff are amazing! They strive to know each child as an individual, and that is so important to us. They instruct with a consistent and firm (yet caring) style and have really motivated my son to work hard and earn his next belt. They are helping my son gain so many valuable skills: self-confidence, self-control, discipline, organization, accountability, teamwork....just to name a few! I highly recommend you try them out if you'd like to enroll your child in Karate!"
