"The first time I ever stepped foot in Oregon was on interstate 5 from California. Crossing the state border and coming down the mountain into Ashland was like living a real life fairy tale."

"I have visited this park once. But now viewing it from above was a real treat. Beautiful cascades , I could not view mount Shasta as it was on the other side of the window. Very inspired to visit once again."

"The monument is pretty huge, with lots of places to explore. Hyatt Lake is mostly dry now (end of September), but there were lots of birds, and interesting patterns in the dry clay of the shore. Little Hyatt Lake has a nice trail around it for a leisurely stroll, with mixed habitat for bird diversity, and interesting columnar basalt geology."
