Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Diego North/San Marcos

"My recent stay at Fairfield Inn was horrible. While there, I noticed huge red bumps all over my body. I recognize these bites. They are from bed bugs!! I had an experience with these bugs years back so I'm aware what the bites look and feel like. I bought this situation to the manager who never apologized, as a matter of fact she laughed when I told her of my discomfort and pain from the bites. I let her know I have an autoimmune disorder and still no empathy. She agreed to refund me and then apparently changed her mind. Most of the staff are aloof and do not engage much at all. I ended up reaching out to Marriott for help as Sarah refused to assist me. I filed a complaint and requested a refund. In the meantime I'm having my doctor put in writing what condition my body was in after my stay at this hotel and seeking advice from an attorney. It's a shame to have someone in charge that treat people this way. Not to mention not safeguarding the hotel from bugs. Especially bed bugs! Please stay away from Fairfield Inn. They have bed bugs."

"Reception lady acted rude. She was impatient and least bothered to help me set the mobile key. They do not have house keeping, so when we were checking in 3 guests in a room, they should have offered us the 3rd set of towels at checkin. We had to go down again to pick one from reception, which felt frustrating after our long flight."

"It was great!! The rooms are clean and modern. For the price, it was really good for California. I'd come back here again."

"Stayed August 2023. Request a room on the 3rd floor, I know it's a residence inn but the occupants above sounded like they were jumping up and down. The appliances were filthy dirty.***Wash all dishes before you use them. One of the plates had dried egg on it and a glass had lipstick on it. I'm not sure if there was a dog in the room but we got bitten around our ankles. One of the dispensers was empty in the shower, I told the manager about it was never refilled and the cashier refused to accept an AMEX gift card."

"I stayed here over a weekend for a wedding. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. There were many choices at breakfast. The hotel was in close proximity to shopping and restaurants. The coolest part was the robot butler. I highly recommend staying here."
