The Castro Valley Community Center, located at 18988 Lake Chabot Road in Castro Valley, California, is operated and maintained by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. This facility offers a wide range of classes, activities, and special interest programs for the community to enjoy. The main hall of the facility is available for private events and can be rented from 8 AM – 10 PM on Monday – Saturday and 8 AM – 8 PM on Sunday. With written approval, alcohol is permitted with some restrictions. To check availability and submit a request for rental, individuals can fill out the Request for Rental Form during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. If the requested date is available, a deposit for the main hall is due within 3 business days, and all fees must be paid in full 30 days prior to the event. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days in advance, and permits will only be issued to adults 18 years of age or older. Funerals and memorials may be an exception to this rule.

"Very nice little Park children's playground, barbecue picnic areas, children's water playland in the summer. An easy place to take a nice walk in pleasant surroundings. Sometimes we take night walks here because the deer come down out of the hills and graze in the park"

"My friend had Baby shower and it was great bathrooms are close enough and the the metal onining is great. If it gets dark you will need some lights it gets dark. We used the outside area."

"The buildings and grounds are very well kept. Everything's clean there's a lot of activities that are almost always going on. A really good place to also hang out read a book, shoot a little basketball, play tennis, or even baseball. In the summertime there is a nice little water park. Everybody seems to be really friendly there."

"They have different playgrounds for different ages, lots of big open fields for playing all kinds of sports. And the water park during the summer is always a hit! The only thing I don't like is there's only one restroom for the whole place &only 2or3 stalls not maintained very well"
