Kita on Kains

"Our son has been at Kita on Kains for about a year. From the start of the experience, Catrina and Jason provided guidance, understanding, support and flexibility for us. Being new parents, my wife and I, like most new parents had the anxiety and fear of handing your child to someone else, however; Catrina and Jason provided excellent care and most importantly advice on how to help with the transition to provide what was a painless and as close to ideal of a transition a new parent could ask for. Our son has blossomed socially and mentally due to the German immersion environment. His language skills have increased and his independence has grown. Their play based learning has been great for our son's development. As my wife and I are both working parents, Catrina and Jason have gone the extra mile to provide my wife and I with as many possible options to accommodate our work schedules within reason to allow us to be productive yet give our son the support he needs. We are grateful to be part of the Kita on Kains family and grateful for the involvement of Catrina and Jason in the development of our son's early stage of his life."

"Our son has attended Kita on Kains as soon as he was old enough and his experience has been exceptional. It is a wonderful environment for him, from its small size, its focus on outdoor play, patient attention from their kind and dedicated staff, to the excellent communication with parents. It’s a nurturing family environment, and the community of other children and parents, in addition to the staff Catrina, Jason and Dawn are wonderful. There is a magical quality to this place and getting to be a part of this community is something we are grateful for. It’s been a real joy to witness our child’s developments, guided and encouraged by the Kita—his first steps, learning to play independently and with others, asking for things, and discovering new skills. They have also offered amazingly patient care when our son hasn’t been feeling well—he’s needed special creams which they’ve helped with, or if he’s not feeling well, they are extra attentive in keeping us updated and communicating as to how he is doing through the day. Now, every morning once he realizes we’re about to leave the house he points to his shoes, grabs his lunch bag, and confidently hurries out the door. We cannot express how wonderful it is to know our child spends his day at a place he is so happy and excited for."

"What a gem of a daycare! Our daughter joined Kita on Kains mid-year as a 2-3 year old, took to it right away and truly blossomed. Catrina, Jason, and the team provided a deeply nurturing, home-like environment for her to explore and grow. While we don't speak German at home, our daughter did great with the exposure to bilingual learning - we thought of it as an added bonus. The music, free imaginative play, and outdoor space were fabulous, and they communicated very well throughout changing covid protocols. Her time at Kita prepared her for a completely smooth transition into preschool. We're so glad we found Kita!"
