"Beware with expired products. On September 8, 2023 I reached for the Oaxaca cheese I had purchased on September 2 to find mold on the cheese sides. The cheese had expired on august 29. Yes my fault for believing in their freshness and just grabbed it, but why don’t they remove that off their refrigerators? This isn’t the first time this happens but It won’t happen again."
"Went to buy 3 boilillos with cream cheese and jalapeños and for my luck there was only like 5% cream cheese no jalapeños. Everything is so expensive and this the quality of bread we get."
"We are use to our local Norwalk needed a cake, stopped by this location was the closet. First time here, The counter young lady wasn’t friendly at all, no matter how much I tried to talk to her, she just looked annoyed and wasn’t very happy. We received our cake, and left. We love NorthGate unfortunately for some customer service that some employees have. Other than the service here, we loved our cake"
"They have a lot of Mexican items. You have to watch for pricing because sometimes their items are more expensive than other surrounding markets. The meat department is decent. They definitely need to work on their numbering system (sometimes you wait forever for all those ordering meat and all you want is cream… not efficient). The tamales SUCK (flavorless). Some of the prepared food is decent. They also have their own bakery, but we personally don’t care for their bread (not what you would expect from a Mexican bakery). I agree with the other reviews that some of the cashiers are rude and definable take their time ringing up people. It’s a coin toss (sometimes you get excellent service). They also offer Prospera money service (run my moneygram payment system). I am giving them a 3 because… even though sometimes you deal w BS/higher pricing… they usually have what I need to complete a recipe."
