"Have not been to the Santa Ana Zoo since i went with my elementary school Sierra Vista in Placentia!!! & I’m in my early 50’s, so it’s been a minute or two, but my wife & I had a great time. There was an anteater. Could not recall having ever seen an anteater before, but there it was. Neat!"

"We love this zoo. We have been taking out children here for 30 years plus and now bring our grandchildren. It have evolved into a really nice zoo over the years. They have a ton of different primates, anteater, camels, a cool rainforest area with birds and turtles and seasonal butterfly exhibit and so much more. There is a train and a ferris wheel. A small food court, playground and gift shop also..Its a fun little day trip for the family. I 100% recommend this zoo"

"We decided to visit the Santa Ana Zoo because the weather was much cooler than where we were planning to go. This is a small zoo, but the grounds make this so lush with all the beautiful plants. I was impressed with the butterfly enclosure. I've seen a few at larger zoos, but they had much fewer butterflies. Unfortunately, most of my photos were on my larger camera. These images are from my phone. I hope to come back to this review. and add images from my Sony."

"Visited on weekday. Not much activity from animals or staff. Most of the animal exhibits were empty. Was disappointed mostly all we saw were monkeys. Sad to see bald eagle in small cage. Lots of construction for future exhibits. Butterfly pavilion was interesting."

"Not too expensive. I used my LA zoo membership to get a 50% discount. It is way smaller but they had some animals I hadn't seen in the LA zoo. It was easy to walk through. One of the best areas was the butterfly section. There's a whole row of monkeys which you can see closer than other zoos. It also has a playground which kids enjoy. The farm section was also really cute. A lot of areas are under construction. If there's anything I could complain about is the lack of popcorn which is a must for us, but that's a personal opinion."
